Hi Menion, I've installed the latest available WhereYouGo version from the Android market to my HTC Desire and wanted to test the offline maps functionality. Unfortunately, when I tap the Offline maps icon, the application crashes. Online maps work fine as well as Vector icon does (although I get an alert that I don¨t have any maps saved in the designated place). I've tried to reinstall the app, but it didn't help. I have some offline sqlite maps saved on the SD card for my Locus Pro and as far as I could understand, this should be compatible. Or am I missing something somewhere? Thanks for your help! Johny265

Hi Menion - do I understand correctly that you can download pocket query directly from Locus and import it? Where? I didn't find it. I have Locus Pro 1.14.0. Thanks!

Ikonky si můžeš přidat sám, už se to tady řešilo. Udělěj si jejich transparentní PNGéčka, barev kolik chceš, zazipuj je a nahraj do adresáře Locus/icons. Pak už si jenom vybereš v dropdown menu Tvůj zip a ikonku, kterou chceš  ;)

Hi Arcao, I've just installed/upgraded to the newest version from the Android Market and can't figure out how to call the add on from the regular Locus Pro app. If I long tap the screen on an offline map, I get an address displayed for that particular place (via online services that Locus is connectiong to) and that's it. If I tap the address "popup box", I get a next window though, but there is nothing but the default Locus menus and "commands". Nothing about the Display nearest 50 caches.

Can you let me know, please what I'm  doing wrong?  ;)

EDIT: Locus 1.7.2

Thanks for the quick reply. I will check it later today. I thought it's the same version 0.9.24 on both the market and this forum.

Hi menion, all the new functionalities that I've tested and are usable for me work fine. But I couldn't find the AR feature. How is this supposed to work, please? The only way I managed is to go to a certain point, select Street View and turn on the Compass functionality. Then the augmented reality works fine. But that's Google Street View and not Locus anymore, right? So I wonder how to get that working and where in Locus (have the market version 0.9.24 installed).

Am I missing something somewhere? The thing is I have GPS turned off, am inside an administrative building with no GPS signal inside, neither close to the windows (they have some filter, it's not a regular glass).

Cheers!

I'm looking forward for the final release. You definitely deserve a reward! :-)

As for the issue, I don't know how this exactly works, I'm not a programmer. But I guess it has to be something in it that defines the localization. If you have to drag the blank map to the position of the offline map, it has to somehow remember its correct coordinates, so it can work with the GPS properly. Or to somehow set the position automatically while the map is being saved to the offline mode (of course for the biggest tiles with the least details only). I think it would be better than to force to manually select a position unless it is not really necessary.

Hi Menion, it's a great work that you've done until now! One of the best apps I've seen and so far still for free" I wonder when a paid version is going to be available and what other benefits we get in it  ;)

I have a small problem, but don't know if the problem is between the chair and my phone or somewhere else :-) If I have several different offline maps from different locations stored in Locus and want to switch from one to another, it's a small problem. Locus remains focused to the original locations and you have to manually drag it to the new location. What could be a problem for some people if they don't know or forget the original location and map orientation of the new one (to know, what direction they have to drag the blank space with the "alert" Problem with a connection displayed on the tiles). Would it be possible to focus the center of the screen in the middle of the new selected offline map every time a new offline map is selected? I have some feeling that it's worked in some of the previous version, but am not really sure :)

Cheers!
