Maps / Re: Locus Classic: no more LoMap updates?

Quote from: SnowStorm on October 04, 2026, 03:08:20Hi,

I haven't received any new offline LoMaps to buy since May on my Locus Maps 3 Classic. The last one dated is still May 21 and it's October now. Usually it takes 2-3 months for the next update. So my question is: is it the same for everyone this year? Where else besides in app can I check when the new version incoming?
Thanks.

I'm wondering the same thing; it would be helpful to have official information about when the next update is expected.

I mainly use offline maps and track recording, which is very useful when mobile coverage is limited during hikes.

Yes, this bug seems to be related to version 4.36.00, and I hope it will be fixed soon in a future update.

Thanks for the details; this looks like a bug specifically affecting photo point insertion on an active route.

The GOS case is quite revealing: if simply changing an app's package name can affect its performance, it shows that the limitations were not based solely on the actual workload. For games, this difference can be noticeable quite quickly, especially with titles that use lots of animations or effects. The same applies to online games of chance, where smooth performance is still important when playing several rounds in a row.

This does sound like overly aggressive background management by Android 16 or the Rugone system. If all the settings are correct, it may be worth checking the manufacturer-specific settings for background apps.
