Ok wvb
I use guiding a lot when I'm sailing.

There are 2 main function:
1. Guiding to a single Waipoint (POI, point)
2. Guiding over a Route (Track)

So if you guiding to a single Waipoint you can let Locus tell you when you get closer to that specific Waipoint. You just activate the function "Notify on distance", and then it's up to you to specify how far away from the Waipoint Locus start to beep or play a sound.

Guiding over a Route (Track) I use a lot.
I use to activate "Notify when switching to another point" then I know when I'm close a specific point in the Route.
The other option "Notify when to far away from track" tells you if you are to far away from the line between to points. Unfortunately you don't know if you are to far to the left or to the right, BUT hopefully Menion fix that ;-)
(If you look in the get satisfaction forum you can vote for it!). ;-)

Svartbjorn, is it possible to set 1s? I use to have 0s on my Sg2 but when I tried 1s it was just possible to set 10s or more

Hi
I you activate the map so it follows the compass course it feels a little bit "nervous".
There are tons of Compass-apps on the Market and one called Steady Compass have the right feeling ;-)
They have added a Kalman-filter and I think that should be a good idea to have like an option on Locus.
(At Sea we called it damping compass)

Hi !
I'm not sure I follow you to 100% ......
But what I think you mean is that I can choose any POI I want and when I tap on it there will be a "+" .
And if I select "+" the POI will be added to my route !? - right ?
If so it's exactly the same way that Garmin works !!!! So I think it's even better then my proposal !
The only thing to keep in mind is that is very handy (necessary) to have the possibility to insert a new POI in a exisiting route ( of course also delete a POI ).
It's were often I have routes with e.g. 30 waypoints (POI) and then suddenly I must add a new POI in the middle of the route........then I just can do a "INSERT" POI.
If you don't have the INSERT-option you have to create a totally new route ;-(

Wishlist / Seaplotter
January 13, 2012, 13:06:28
Hi !
I have used Pro since 1.3 ver and are stilled very pleased how Locus devoloped !
Personally I use Locus most together with seachart's from Eniro.
That's way I miss one function:  "the common way" to make a new route (track).

Today you can make a new route(track) in Locus using the red cross and then tap on + and then a new position and tap on +
BUT you can also longtap on + AND then you suddenly have lots of options !! greate !

My wish is now to increase the options to include all POI not only the Favorites
If so Locus have become more like a Seaplotter.
( A seaplotter works with tons of waypoints (POI) then you make your own route (track) by select from your  waypoint list (POI's)

ok i have not measured the cpu rate BUT  i know that my  htc wildfire don't like track recording ;-)
I use Locus a lot with my sailingboat AND i really want to use track recording.
So thats way I save tracks every 20 min and start a new one.
Very importent to uncheck the old one !!
If I not do like this, the zoomfunction get slower and slower ( and of course other funtions to )
Ok, i blame my "tired" wildfire and wait for my Samsung Galaxy S2 ;-)
BUT I think this "test" with the wildfire tell us something !? ( high cpu usage at track recording )
Sooooo if this is some kind of bug ???? I perhapes don't need to buy a Samsung ;-(
