[maps - online - OSM-other - Opentopomap]

OpenTopoMap comes as online map version, you don't have to download it.
Choose in the menu:   maps - online - OSM-other - Opentopomap
I hope, this solves your problem.

It seems, that OpenTopoMap is currently limited up to level 15 - some months ago it went down to the detail levels of 16 and 17 (as on the original OTM web site). I have no idea, why this does not work any more in Locus!?

Für ein paar Monate hat es geklappt, dass man bis auf Level 16  und 17 bei Opentopomaps hineinzoomen konnte - jetzt ist wie schon vor etwa einem Jahr wieder bei Level 15 Schluss. Ich verstehe nicht, weshalb es jetzt nicht mehr geht !?

Und ich möchte Kai beipflichten: die Opentopomap ist vom Kontrast und Inhalt her genau, was ich suche.
Bei den Vektorkarten kämpfe ich immer wieder mit unerwarteten Fontgrößen. (Vielleicht ist da einfach für einen Newbie zu viel, was man falsch machen kann  .)

Hallo,

I just would like to share this custom screen for small displays (I have a Blackberry Q10, and I need every pixel for the map). It is designed to be operated with one hand only.

It provides:
Custom screen esp. for small displays - HPS: Hide top bar, show Position, precision & Speed
Actions:
- Toggle the speed field to hide or show the top title bar.
- Zoom out & in touching at lower left & right corners.
- Center map at your position by touching at bottom center field.
Displays in additon to the map:
- altitude, accuracy, distance recorded, speed and actual time.
