Hello,

thanks for the new version, there are some nice ideas inside.

But since this version (maybe also since the last version) locus is slow in showing vector maps for me.
sometimes it needs 20 or 30 seconds until the complet map is on the screen.

If i use instead online maps, there are much faster.

I have Android 2.3.

have a nice week

what do you mean with specific feature?
about two weeks ago, i had the problem that i had thousands of red lines to all the waypoints. But after i read here in the forum, i tried to disable the lines and it works. But now i can not display any waypoints.
Also locus crashes if i add new waypoints.

Do you think, it would help if i reinstall Locus? or is there a set back to standart function?

Troubles & Questions / Locus crashes when zoom in
August 14, 2013, 13:30:41
Hi,

since a few days, i have the problem that Locus with vector maps crashes when i zoom in.
That means, when i zoom so far in, that the scale on the screen shows only 40m, Locus is very very slow and almost unusable. If i zoom further in, until the scale shows 20m, nothing goes and after maybe 30 seconds, Locus crashes.

I have a Motorola X615 with Android 2.3.
Maybe it is connected to this problem, that I had some weeks ago:
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3112#p20984

Parallel to the Locus-pro version, I have an older Locus free with version 2.7.3, where I have no such problem.

best regards

Hello,

i can confirm that the update from today resolv the problem with the slow vectormaps in Android 2.3.
Thank you very much for this.

my problem sounds similar to:
 viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3030&start=60#p20873

the maps are some different vector maps.
The version of Locus free is 2.7.3. it uses exactly the same maps.

Hello,
with today's update, Locus gets very very slow on my phone. The start of Locus needs much longer and especially the loading of the map needs about 30 seconds each time i move or zoom the map (before it was about 1 or 2 seconds). also the opening of the menus is quite slow.
With this new version, Locus is almost not use able.

Parallel to the updated pro version I have an older free version on the phone, which works still normal.
My phone is an Motorola Motolux (XT615) with Android 2.3.

best regards
alex
