Hi,

experimenting with personal maps (see //http://forum.locusmap.eu/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3105) I wonder if and how it is  possible to use them as an overlay over vector maps and provide an opacity as seen with the WMSes or/and define a transparent color (color range).

My personal maps (.mbtiles files) are made of transparent map tiles, that were taken from our WMSes. So the tiles are transparent and I was glad to
1. be able to define a color-range that sould be shown transparently and
2. be able to provide an opacity percentage as seen with the WMSes.
Here is an example of CAD made maps that have a huge amount of white (probably within a certain range as they have passed some antialiassing)

Thank you,

Hi,

we are building a tool that shall be able to build offline tile packages out of some of our WMSes wich already have a tile cache. We tested it with locus and decided to take the mbtiles format for sqlite databases.
Exploring the locus manual therefore we saw that there ist a lack of information:link

Would somebody please add (in the above linked manual) that the files must have the suffix ".mbtiles".

Are there more things that have to be cosidered concerning the filenames?
Actually some of my *.mbtile files are not shown in locus' personal maps tab.

Thank you,
Thomas

I (formely as "Mike") solved it by reinstalling Locus. I used if for ages and so I could solve another problem with this too - I deleted my two locus folders that I had on different partitions of my SD card.
Unfortunaletly I forgot to backup my traks - but no matter I will record new ones  ;) .
Thank you for this GREAT TOOL !!!!!
