Troubles & Questions / Re: Track editor

Yes, just found it myself... strongly prefer the old way where those edit buttons simply appeared. Also missing the time stamp in the small popup when selecting a point.

Troubles & Questions / Track editor
October 09, 2014, 16:37:53
Hi,

Recently I got the automatic upgrade, now I can't edit my recorded tracks any more.
The ones that I'm missing now (amongst many more lost functions):
- the left-hand menu with buttons for Next/Previous point, Delete All After, etc.
- bottom menu that can give information about individual points

Where can I find this now? It used to come automaticlaly when activating the track - now only some rather useless thing appears, that doesn't have the functions that I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance.
There may be more such dialogs, especially on the smaller screens like my phone, but haven't searched for them. Just ran into this one.

Hi,

Just now trying to add some points by coordinate. This used to go find, but something in the UI changed and it's messed up. Basically, the longitude is covered by the Add and Cancel buttons, making it impossible to enter coordinates. It's also impossible to scroll the thing up a bit to make it visible again. See screen shots. This the most recent Locus Pro (auto-updates; version 2.10.1).

Wishlist / Possible night mode enhancement
January 22, 2013, 16:00:44
Hi,

Recently done some hikes (and geocaching) at night, using night mode. That's just great!

An issue I ran into is that other screens, e.g. POI or change maps, are not inverted, so when selecting any of those I suddenly have a very bright white screen shining at me. Can this be changed, by making them white on black like the settings page? That'd be great.

Troubles & Questions / Re: Export to OSM
January 22, 2013, 14:37:55
Ah, that was the problem. Thanks. Don't recall enabling/disabling that before... changed when I upgraded phone, reinstalled Locus, got an upgrade on it... strange. Oh well, fixed now :-)

Troubles & Questions / Export to OSM
January 19, 2013, 16:58:09
A week or so ago I was able to export tracks recorded by Locus directly to OpenStreetMap.

Now this whole option has disappeared from the "export type" list when exporting a track (it only lists GPSX, KML, GPSies, Breadcrumbs, Ride WIth GPS, Trainginstagebuch.org and DXF. I used to see OpenStreetMap there as well.

What happened? Now I have to export to GPX, then manually upload... OK it works but the previous way was so much more convenient.

Themes - Vector maps / Re: [Theme] Hiking v0.6
December 27, 2012, 19:26:56
Thanks, I got the cycle&hike theme already. A very clear one.
Problem with that one though is that all trails look the same, no distinction between the more proper trails and really rough trails. And that's a big issue for Hong Kong's situation.

Themes - Vector maps / Re: [Theme] Hiking v0.6

Just installed this theme in combination with the maps from http://www.openandromaps.org

Seems to work - finally I got contour lines again, so no need to rely on my nearly two year old download of OpenCycleMap any more :-) Thanks for the great work!

One issue I found with the theme is that the sea is rendered white, so it's very hard to see where the land ends, and where the sea begins. Other waters (lakes, rivers) are rendered blue... would really appreciate if that could be addressed in a future version.

In a side note, I also found vector maps on http://download.geofabrik.de/ and managed to convert these pbf files to something Locus can handle. Much more up to date (openandromaps is two months old for my area) but no contour info?!
