Locus Pro crashes every time I attempt to start it. I am able just to send crash report via system.

Locus Pro version: 3.8.0 from Google Play
device: Nexus 7, Android 5.1 ..

EDIT: Perhaps it has something to do with issue reported here - http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/locus-crashes-with-mbtiles-overlay . I use Overlay (off-line map + vector map)

Netušíte někdo, jaký je rozdíl mezi czech_republic.map a czech_republic_gccz.map ??
Nikde jsem to tam nenašel a odkaz na autora není...

Ahoj,
jeste k tem vrstevnicim. Po tech 10m by byly opravdu lespi, jak na geocachining, tak na turistiku, vcetne cyklo. Na ceskem gecaching foru to dela Speirs, ma tam vrstevnice 10m, turisticke znaceni atd.. Vlastne to vypada skoro stejne, jen to ma vice vrstevnic. Cela cr ma neco okolo 240MB.

Díky za hint! O tomhle počinu (http://osm.paws.cz/) jsem nevěděl. Vypadá to, že to aktualizuje snad každý den.

I made a test with Nexus 7 Wifi-only Android 4.2.2 today, too.
- For me direction by compass is accurate in both portrait and landscape modes.
- Location matches map according accuracy of GPS (ca. 8m)
- Altitude deviation in my test was ca. +7m with automatic GEOID correction, ca. +70m without correction

Is something special with your tablet? Maybe reboot helps?

Well, the point is: the Nexus shows correct altitude using GPS TEST application. On the same location and the same time (in parallel) Locus shows a altitude cca +50m higher. I can simply switch between two applications and see correct altitude on GPS TEST and systematically incorrect altitude about +40+50m on Locus. I tested it again, multiple times.

I investigated it more detailed way and I guess the problem is caused by geoid correction which is applied in GPS TESTer and disabled in Locus. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoid).  When I switch this correction off in the GPS TEST then I get the value similar as in Locus. Vice versa, enabling correction in Locus seems to solve this problem.

Location seems to be correct.
Direction seems to be incorrect in both applications.

I tested the Locus Pro on Nexus7 today and the direction is still wrong by approx. 90 degree. In addition, the altitude shown in Locus is cca +50m higher than in other programs (e.g. GPS testers) and which is more serious it is 50m above real latutude (according to map). I will keep my fingers crossed you will find time to repair it. Cheers.

Tak jsem poslední měsíc docela hodně doplňoval do OSM - cesty, pěšinky, turistické značky.

A dneska jsem si stáhl z Locus store poslední aktualizaci (s časovou značkou 10.3.) a  .... zklamání. Skoro nic z mých změn tam není. Jak staré jsou OSM podklady, ze kterých generujete Locus mapy? Podle mých odhadů nejméně 20 dní?

Tak jsem stáhnul novou mapu, ale pro turistiku je to tady u nás v Beskydech nepoužitelné. Hodně tras vůbec není a nebo najednou končí, či začínají uprostřed lesa. Je to tak půl na půl. Taktéž chybí objekty. Při větším zoomu vidím čísla popisné, ale objekty tam chybí.
Jak se v takových případech řeší oprava chyb?

Já jsem se do toho pustil a nakreslil jsem všechny cesty a turistické značky v okolí míst, kde to dobře znám. Není to nic složitého, vlezeš na osm.org, klikneš edit a kreslíš  cesty podle podkladové ortomapy. Dají se tam importovat GPS záznamy. Začínal jsem s tímhle tutoriálem - http://vimeo.com/m/24984085 . Jak popsat správně vlastnosti cesty nebo KČT trasy, to najdeš na osm wiki.

voldapet - diky za upřesnění. Když už máš to generování hotové a je to o jednom parametru, je nějaký problém připravit dvě verze a z locus store by si kazdy stáhnul tu, která mu vyhovuje (buď menší nebo podrobnější, ale větší)?

Musím tě ale zklamat co se týče vrstevnic. Podrobnější interval nemáme v plánu. Jednak by tím značně vzrostla datová velikost vektorových map a také vzhledem k tomu, že i samotná přesnost vrstevnic je někde kolem +-3 metrů, tak nevím jestli by to přineslo kýžený výsledek. Každopádně pokud bys měl zájem, můžu tě navést, jak si sám můžeš takto podrobné vrstevnice připravit.

Díky za nabídku, ale bohužel do toho asi sám nepůjdu - nestíhám už teď práci & rodinu. Ale je to škoda, určitě by to turistické mapě prospělo.

PS: nemáte zájem podílet na mapování turistických tras pro OSM? S Lucusem to jde snadno a je to docela zábava  

Máš nějaký návod, jak na to? Sám vím o KČT trasách, které v OSM nejsou.

Měl bych jeden "feature request". Rád bych, aby se tyhle vektorové mapy postupně přibližovaly kvalitou turistickým mapám. Zatím mi nejvíc chybí více popisů (například názvy rozcestníků KČT, pokud jsou v OSM)  a hustější vrstevnice (20m je při podrobnějším zoomu málo, chtělo by to alespoň 10m, jako má Seznam / Shocart). Does anybody experience same issue when running Locus on Nexus 7? The problem is in hardware compas. The compas in locus points approximately 90 degree wrong all the time. Other applications don't show such anomaly.

Not yet a comment but a question. Will these maps also be available for downloading (and paying) on the PC? I find that more convenient. Like before on http://vectormaps4locus.eu/

I really appreciate KCT routes in Locus vector maps. This is important for usability as the KCT routes span whole Czech Republic and they are very very popular.

I am just user so the next question can be silly: Would it be possible to change route rendering style in order the kct route will have same colour as it is in reality? The result should look as this screen shot from other thread:

I think this is very important as Czech maps follow this style for several generations (40+ years). I wonder if it is matter of change a route rendering property or it is more difficult to arrange it.
