Hi guys, this seems to be a big, unexpected problem.
In the end, we decided to give all users updates of older maps to versions from 2023.

Please check this announcement and let me know if all works fine now.

Just to understand: This fixes our problem, but there are newer maps, so updating definitely makes sense? I wanted to update the Austrian map this year, I use it quite often.

I'm also using the theme Hike & Bike (Wandern & Radfahren) for all my LoMaps.
The issues don't only occur at the borders/mix between old and new maps, but also for the old maps alone.

That's true. I deleted all.maps but Austria and the problem didn't go away.

thanks for the bug report, and sorry for these complications.

Firstly > are you using our internal themes? Just open the left side "Map-screen content" panel and under the selected map, confirm you are using one of our internal LoMaps themes.

There should be a problem with mixing very old maps (version 3, 5+ years old) and the new V4 maps. Really, the best solution is to update the maps.

Anyway, if you confirm, you use one of these themes and still problems appear, I'll try to look if there is something I may do with it, not to force you update the maps.

Sure. I'm using "Hike and Bike", as you can see (in German it's Alle Funktionen -> Karten und Werkzeuge -> Thema der Karte): "Wandern und Radfahern" means hike and bike.

It's true, it seems like my newest map (Malta) works in a normal way. However I don't see why I should update maps I hardly use like Italy North or Germany.

I have just deleted my Austria map and downloaded it again: Exactly the same result. It seems to be a bug in the software. I am waiting for a fix.

Same here, using locus since 7 years. I also see "strange" images. Just random tiles, streets, ways, rivers, contour lines, ... stand and end on the borders of these tiles. Currently, Locus is impossible to use for me. I hope, I'll get an answer (even better, a fix) for this problem soon.

This image shows a small portion of the Italy North map. It's totally unusable (as anybody can see easily)


It appears for example with Austria, date March 27th 2022, also with Italy North, August 15th 2022, Germany south, June 11th 2024. Locus Map version 4.32.2
