Hello everybody, this is my first post .

I like to download/cache a satellite map (e.g. right now, the whole Island of La Gomera (Spain)).

Is this explanation (https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:maps_download#map_caching) from the docs, about caching the map through loading each view, still the best and only way to achieve it?

• Are there maybe other maps than "lomaps online" or approaches, also paid, to achieve this?
• If this is the only way, how do I know, with which zoom levels I have to do this process to get all available images?
• Can you recommend another app to accompany lomaps, which is more convenient in this regard?

*edit: If caching is still the only option it would also be curious to know, why it is this way? Is it for legal reasons or to reduce server demands, or something else?
