Locus Map / Re: [APP] - version 4.19.+ ( 9/2023 )
November 03, 2023, 11:53:55
Hello,
I added the external profile "River" from Brouter Offline and see it in the LoRouter Offline settings.
But unfortunately, in "active profiles" you cannot add your own profile, for example with a "boat" icon or something like that. Therefore, we had to take a "motorcycle" and give it a "river" profile.

Maybe there is a way to set the correct icon for your external navigator profile?

You cannot view this attachment.

Quote from: voldapet on July 31, 2023, 08:39:43Well, could I add "location=underground" to LoMaps for the next release if that helps?

Thanks, this will help.

Quote from: john_percy on July 28, 2023, 14:55:11If I understand you correctly, then if location="~", Lomaps and OAM maps understand it differently. Is that right?

yes, in LoMaps the pipeline is always drawn in this case. but I would like not to draw a pipe underground.

Hello,
is there a way to distinguish LoMaps from OAM maps in my theme?
maybe there is a special tag for the card manufacturer?

OAM doesn't support "location=overhead|overground" tags, and LoMaps doesn't support "location=underground" tags for "man_made=pipeline", and I don't understand how I can make everything draw correctly.

Quote from: Tapio on May 23, 2023, 07:55:38Can you tell, what and if there are general differences and what they are about?

Contour data is very different, OAM is much more accurate. Lomaps needs to be zoomed in closer to see "meadows" etc. The same with buildings. Some tags are missing. OAM has tricks so that the name on one large object (for example - lakes, islands) is drawn once, there is no such thing in Lomaps. There are no island names if this name is specified not directly ("place=island"), but through "Relations" (type=multipolygon).

If you are using my theme, then you do not currently have the names of lakes (all).

Quote from: freischneider on May 19, 2023, 08:50:19Therefore, we should not waste time on it and rather invest it in better function.

Just return everything as it was, it will take no time.

And if you really want to change colors, make your own new color option through the expert menu or in the themes of the locus interface (if it will be in the future). Without spoiling the familiar user interface. Thank you.

nope, sorry.
This one should be less disturbing and helps to distinguish really active content on the screen (buttons) from the simple toolbar.

Please consider reverting the menu colors to their previous state. The new (bright light blue) colors are very annoying. The old shade was optimal.

I think the best option is to make it configurable from the "expert menu". Or just put it back the way it was.

Thank you.

Hello,

> chg: redesign of primary and secondary colors across the whole app - blue is good!

Is it possible to make this color set in the settings? The old dark blue was more comfortable.

A good description when you make a theme :))

At this level, the name of the city is definitely not needed.

Quote from: Tapio on April 20, 2023, 21:15:11I disagree, it's the whole option you added, that had no effect. I added display=always in all your recent versions to towns, and it worked. The town name got written on top of the river.
As in my attachment.
IMO it should be added to place=capital?, town, city and village.

I'll take a look, but for now, I won't always use display=always. I like my variant so far. The name of the town is now shown at level 12, IMHO this is enough and I have not seen such a glitch anywhere else.

Quote from: Tapio on April 20, 2023, 16:21:45The rule doesn't apply at all (I tested with some ridiculous font sizes), but I don't know why.

display=always doesn't help, the name of the river removes the name of the city. Now the name of the rivers will be shown from level 13 and in a smaller font.

Quote from: Tapio on April 20, 2023, 13:41:01We're talking about the same. I checked it, and it doesn't work for https://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?msg=71108 (it's with the full OAM Germany map) - The Town is Lüdinghausen, it's not displayed on level 12 so this cannot be "display=always".

As you can see for yourself, the option (display=always) is there, but it doesn't always work. Maybe someone knows the solution, but I do not.

Quote from: Tapio on April 20, 2023, 08:51:58Thanks Andrey, good option, but that doesn't solve the problem above in https://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?msg=71108 - which requires 'display="always"' additionally. I think, in case of town names it is a must-have, they should never be victims of priorities or paint orders.

I think we don't understand each other. You wanted display=always for place=town and I made it optional, enabled via the menu. And as far as I checked, it works. Or do you want something else?

Hello,

Quote from: Tapio on April 19, 2023, 08:54:39I think it's sad you removed the hiking trail markers, they were "mostly" working. Can you maybe add their names close to the trails, like Voluntary does?

"hiking trail markers" I will add, but somehow later.

Quote from: Tapio on April 19, 2023, 08:54:39I noticed display="always" for towns has gone again and my Lüdinghausen problem from above happens. But not sure if you ever included it.

Look at the last menu item: "Always show the name of small towns (12-16 levels)"
