My thanks to the author of this wonderful rendertheme - Maki!

After the post of the author of Tiramisu EOL, this theme has been corrected and developed.



The rendertheme has now been corrected with the latest changes in routes (hiking, MTB, cycling) in OAM with an update date of January 2022e.

Added new POIs, Bike-Park scale IMBA tracks, trails and lots of little things.

Because the theme is designed for a distant outdoor, all icons are always displayed as soon as they appear in the map data and in urban conditions can lead to oversaturation of the map and mutual overlap of icons. Therefore, use layers in the theme menu more actively and turn off unnecessary ones. Still, a topic for areas where POIs are scattered more widely.

From Tobias Kuen's Elevate family of themes, this theme is the closest to the Elements theme.

Great theme.

For the changelog, the waking up of dusty rusty school Russian knowledge is advantage. I can still read  cyrilicsand understand it without much  troubles. :-)

Привет Pout, were you able to load the theme as a zip? Locus reports errors, I just managed to make it working in unpacked format. пока пока 😉

@tapio, hmm testing and no problem in the downloaded zip file. Even a legend works correctly (in the latest Beta). Nice theme btw!

ZIPed theme worked for me too.

Ah sorry guys, my bad, I didn't see the attachments here but downloaded an outdated version from the website.

AFAIK, I unpacked it manually into the themes directory.

I would like to recommend a change in display priority.
trails that are part of a multi-stage route are displayed with that name.
for example the "Cammino di Dante" is displayed as a CD, the "Cammino di Sant'Antonio" CSA.
thus the main reference is lost, which is the path number.
in the event of an emergency intervention, the primary indication is the number of the path that circumscribes an area much smaller than the entire path.
so too are many who walk the individual paths and not the entire path.
if possible, priority should be given to the path number or even better for example "409 - CD7"

It's impossible, I've made sure of it. The REF value is always given preference to the superior route in iwn|nwn|rwn|lwn|own if there is more than one route. And this happens at the stage of formation of the map. If I understand correctly how this is done by the OAM developer. Also, any concatenation, such as "409 - CD7", is not supported in the rules.

Or maybe you have an example render theme for OAM V5 that shows what you want? Then I could see how it's done.

Every now and then I notice that certain streets with Tiramisu are not displayed. With the other themes they are displayed. I use openandromaps.
What can be the reason for this?

I will give it a go again next three weeks. About track names: the older Elevate  I have onboard does display both, like: E3 and 2749. So does FZOAM but Vonluntary V5 does not (only 2749).
Both is the number on the track and the label like E3 sort of in a separtate label.

Could you give me details of the location or way you are looking at, please. I'd like to investigate for Voluntary theme also.

In Slovakia, see screenshot with coordinate 's. The blue one is the E3.

With Voluntary V5 I have E3 and 2749 displayed on the two tracks as shown. I've looked at this and I can see no way of changing that with OAM maps.

Ok John but right I cannot get it done. Seen the color coding you are using 'hiking and wintersport', right? I refreshed the theme also. I will try later when we get there. By the way, on my wife's Android 11 phone I did see the E3 marking at that spot.

@Henk van der Spek I am using the latest OAM Slovakia map (your screenshot says Czech Republic) and the latest Voluntary theme.

Ok John, we have a winner here. My maps were about one year old. Now with the latest Slovakia map I see the E3 labels, also in multi. Thanks.
And they are also visible with the Tiramisu theme. Thanks Magellan.

What can i do to help solving the issue of the missing roads?

If you can tell us the location of the roads that are not showing together with a screenshot, that would be a great help.

Generall question: did the Tiramisu Velo setting show all kinds of streets? With the Hike setting the missing way are almost there.

Saturo, thank you for the correct formulation of the question.
To display such tracks, the "Easy Tracks ^" item must be enabled in the Tiramisu-Velo renderteme menu.  By default, it is disabled.

For what case is this option made? Why is it preset in the velo theme?

Both of your presented examples contain the same type of object - paths.
This is not intended by the creator of Tiramisu, in which Velo means road bike. Highway. And the road bike has nothing to do on the paths.
For a more complete display of these paths, you need to use Hiking or MTB layers. This is the author's intention. I just adapted the theme to modern maps (OAM).

These paths are 3 meters wide asphalted cycleways. These ways are also shown as cycle network in the velo view but without a way behind it. So i think something must be wrong.

I use a more advanced "Mountain biking" layer. It has everything that the Velo layer is missing, as well as the ability to disable MTB networks, and enable Cycling networks.

@Saturo confirm what metadata is stored in OpenStreetMap for the cycleway; that is the important detail rather than the physical reality; it is quite easy for any user to update OSM details

Okay, than i will use the mountainbike theme.

Can anyone give me a hint how to change the categories shown under the food selection? I would like to see restaurants but not bakeries and butchers or grocery stores.

In the mountainbike view, I can't distinguish between asphalt and gravel.

In the velo view a lots of ways are not shown.

In the hike view aspalt and gravel are show as different linetypes but i can´t select the bicycle networks.

Can anyone recommend another theme?

I think Saturo is right, the Tiramisu Velo Theme has to be changed to also show highway=path + bicycle=designated at least.

In OSM, a path is any way which is not meant for motorized traffic. This must not necessarily be a small path in the woods.

It's also used for combined foot- and cycleways. Both of Saturos examples seem to be such combined ways (note that he changed the tagging to highway=cycleway in the meantime, which might be incorrect).

If there is no cycle route going over it, these ways are invisible in Tiramisu Velo, although perfectly suitable for bikes.

Added display of hw=path with bicycle=yes,public,allowed,designated,official,permissive to the Velo layer.
Check if everything is displayed for you.

also "Easy Tracks ^" (hw=track with tracktype=1,2) is enabled by default.

As for hw=track with tracktype = 3 and below, I'm not sure if it should be added to this layer...

I tried it, but it doesn't seem to work?  Should it work with paths that have both bicycle=designated and foot=designated or only with bicycle=designated alone?

Only a bicycle. (This is the road bike layer. Why are there pedestrian tags?)

It's highway=path and bicycle=designated, no foot tags at all.

Maybe I did a mistake? The downloaded zip at least contains the latest changelog, so I think I should have the right one.

Even highway=path + bicycle=designated + foot=designated can be a good cycleway (maybe also take surface into account), for example with segregated=yes it means a shared foot- and cycleway where there is a lane for cyclists and one for pedestrians. See https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Bicycle , Table "Miscellaneous", row "S5" for example.

In the above example, I see that what is intended is displayed quite well. Something you have is different from mine, somewhere a mistake.
Maybe you don't think there's enough contrast in the dark gray stroke with blue dots?

I have OAM downloaded today, Tiramisu from Github, Velo layer selected, it also has "Cycling networks, Easy Tracks", among other things.

And yes! Thanks, I saw that the rendertheme lacks man_made=groyne. Will be added soon.

Is it possible to show poi bird_hide with this theme?

OAM maps do not have data with the bird_hide tag. But you can ask the creator to include it in the maps. Not likely, he adds reluctantly, but you might be able to convince him.
There are similar objects:
amenity=hunting_stand - An open or enclosed platform used by hunters to place themselves at an elevated height above the terrain
man_made=tower + tower:type=observation - Observation tower
They are in Tiramisu.

The new version of Tiramisu 4.3 is uploaded in the first post (https://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=7847.msg67014#msg67014). Make the best use of it. For OAM V5. Some inaccuracies have been corrected.
