Title: Export Waypoints, Description and Pictures
Post by: 000 on September 10, 2021, 21:34:30
I've create a lot waypoints, attached pictures and wrote some description in Locus. I can export this as KML/KMZ or GPX files, but when I import this files to Garmin Basecamp, it doesn't import the pictures. When I import the files to Google Earth, it does import the pictures, but it only show me a preview, I can't open the full pictures from there and I can't see the description.
Which Software is the best to view/edit the exported files on my PC, with all details I entered in Locus?

Here is one, with a picture and some description. I can open it in Google Earth, but could only see a small preview image. I can open it in Basecamp but can't see any photo or description.

QuoteI can open it in Google Earth, but could only see a small preview image.
this depend on export settings, default width is 60 pix
inside "expert settings" you can modify this value up to 1000
menu/settings/expert settings/Exported photos width > e.g. 300
see screenshot from GoogleEarth
https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:advanced:customization:config#expert_settings

I have no experience with basecamp

That helped, thank you. Is there a easy way to change description of a waypoint in Google Earth? I can only edit it directly in the code, but I see no option in the menue to change it:

<!-- desc_gen:start -->
<font color="black"><table width="100%"><tr><td width="100%" align="center"><a href="files/p_poststraße,_sc_20210910_175004-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="files/p_poststraße,_sc_20210910_175004-1.jpg" width="1000px" align="top" hspace="25" vspace="25" style="border: 3px white solid;"></a><br /><br />
<!-- desc_user:start -->
überflüssig, keine Benutzungspflicht. keine Möglichkeit für Radfahrer vom Radweg über die Straße zu gelangen außer durch den Grünstreifen
