Title: Use Locus Map together with Google Maps (split view) and external GPS receiver
Post by: wima on August 12, 2021, 19:44:43
Hi
I'm using Locus Map 4.3.2 on my Samsung tablet in split view with Google Maps. I have an external Bluetooth GPS receiver. I want that both apps can use this GPS receiver. I tried the app "Bluetooth GPS", but I don't know the settings for working with Locus Map. Does Locus Map not work with a GPS Mock? Can anyone help, please?

Thank you
Marco

Hi,
if you use any 3rd party app that provides location data to the system as "mock location", then there is nothing you have to do in Google Maps, Locus Map or any other application. Simply use it as it works with basic internal device GPS, nothing more.

Ah, it works. I thought it does not because no satellites are displayed in LocusMap.

Fine. Missing satellites are more a problem of BT GPS application.
