Title: How to import Strava activities (gpx. and activity name) to Locus Map?
Post by: pammfonseca@gmail.com on November 01, 2020, 18:12:48
Hi all,

I'm a new Locus Map Pro user - loving the app so far.

I've been using Garmin GPS + Strava to record my mtb and roadbike rides.

I would love to import all my Strava activities (including activity name) to Locus. Is there an easy way to do it?

I've already exported all the .gpx/.fit files from Strava to PC, but when I import them to Locus Map the activity name is not correct.

Thanks
Pedro Fonseca

Hello Pedro,

I'm not sure, there will be any simple solution. But may you please try to attach here one GPX file for the test, together which information (exactly) are you missing upon import into Locus Map? Thanks.

In the download gpx file the activity is attached in the track by the Type tag.
Text in the Type tag is by selected local language set in the Strava website.
Or no STANDARD [EN] text for activity.

Example: Cycling activity by by Type.
[NL] =  fietsrit
[EN] = Ride.

Hello Willy,
thanks for the tests. Then such "type" is quite useless when it depends on users' locale.
Locus Map currently exports track activity into custom "locus:activity" tag, so it should work correctly with re-import.
