Title: Apple buys Dark Sky weather app
Post by: Henk van der Spek on April 01, 2020, 09:23:24
SInce I use weatherforecast within Locus very often, this news worries me a bit: https://www.engadget.com/2020-03-31-apple-dark-sky-weather-app.html
It says it will be closing for Android on 1st of july.
I hope if this affects Locus there will come a solid alternative because I find it very convenient to use within Locus alwas supplying accurate LOCAL weather forecast during our long distance hikes

EDIT: 1.4.? :)
Sadly it seems not. At least it's being treated as totally true elsewhere.

You are right. Today - still the same information. Shame, such a nice service which I just wanted to use a lot more next month (weather forecast in recorded tracks).

Seems it will work till end of 2021, so hopefully enough time to find a usable replacement.
