Hello Gette,

unfortunately with new 4.20 Garmin Connect Mobile, Garmin without notice changed behaviour of app connectivity requirements resulting Locus Map on Android 9 non-working. We are in touch with Garmin team to get Garmin Connect application fixed as soon as possible. Before that, the only way to make it work again is to downgrade your Garmin Connect to version 4.19. You can download it from here:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/garmin/garmin-connect-mobile/garmin-connect-mobile-4-19-1-release/

I am really sorry for inconvenience. Please follow WearSoft Facebook page to more updates: https://www.facebook.com/wearsoft.info/

That's why I switched to the Galaxy Watch.

Garmin has great hardware, but they are not able to write appropriate software for it (personal meaning based on my experience).

I have (had) the Fenix 3 running and synchronizing perfectly with my phone. After an update of the connect software (no changes on the phone) everything stopped working. So after nearly two years and various updates with more or less no success (sometimes the sync worked once while resetting the connection), I switched to the Galaxy Watch and the only thing I miss is the long battery life of the Fenix. For all the rest, I will never switch back.
