Title: lomaps on Garmin device
Post by: den def on February 25, 2019, 20:31:09
I am sorry if this is in the wrong place

Considering it is possible to use OSM Maps in Garmin devices (for example gpsmap 276Cx)
And Lomaps  are based on OSM Maps
Would it be possible to use Lomaps in a Garmin device?
Preferably with high detail (theme hiking/cycling)
If not, why not?
If yes, how do i transfer or create IMG files ready for Garmin?

Note that OSM maps relates to content, not format. It would be good to verify, what format of OSM maps the device supports.
Raster or vector maps.
If raster ones, it may not be OSM maps specific at all. For the format, the map origin does not matter.
If vector ones, which ones ?
One of the most used format is MapsForge compatible format . map, with content flavours of LoMaps or OpenAndroidMaps.
You can for free test and use the latter.
