Title: map orientation when navigating
Post by: Christian on January 29, 2019, 18:44:42
Hi all,
I switched to a new phone and took over all my settings from my previous phone w/out any problem.
But when I start the navigation the map is not orientated properly. See attachment.
The orientation should be north.  Map rotation, map center is on. Hardware Compass is used.
Which setting I have to change?

Thanx,
Christian

Did you calibrate the compass on the new phone?

interesting.
Calibration is one option, but this will most probably be ok.
I do not see bottom panel but isn't possible you manually rotated the screen by fingers? Also please check menu > settings > GPS & sensors > Compass . You need here some auto-change rotation or rotation based on GPS to correctly rotate during navigation.

Thank you for the answers.
I calibrated the compass.
Bottom panel is hidden. auto rotation is activated
I will change the compass to Auto.
I will test it.
Surprised that the settings worked on my old phone.
