Title: Backup manager, Restore is not complete
Post by: strcat on November 13, 2018, 12:16:05
Hello,

I watched the following when settings are restored:
1) Panels & buttonds (Controlling / Panels & buttonds, "Set functions panels") has not been restored.
2) "Quick new point" always remains empty, although it has been populated with some points.
Also when changing interface language too.

I watched these problems during the "moving to other smartphones" and with two smartphone brands.
I use the current PRO version 3.34.1 with Oreo 8.0 and 8.1.

Will it be corrected?

Thanks.

Ahh, so I am not alone ... I experienced such after re-install on the same phone, after Locus could no longer show offline vector maps.

My opinion - backup is backup.
And offline maps, navigation are a big advantage of the program.  ;)

1) Panels & buttonds (Controlling / Panels & buttonds, "Set functions panels") has not been restored.
I find it is necessary to restart Locus (or even restart phone) in order to display correct function panels (or presets) after a restore. I have reported this elsewhere.

Locus restarts automatically after recovery as well as so...

Restart of Locus even smartphone does not help!

P.S.
Please test it yourself first and only then say:
-create backup
-transferred backup file to PC
-smartphone reset (Factory Reset) or use new device
-install Locus
-play back backup file from PC
-copy backup file to the corresponding folder of Locus
-restore

I too found I had to shut down the phone and restart it for the restore to be effective. The automatic restart of Locus is not sufficient.

Thanks guys. I think my restart-hack is improved now ... next version should work better.
