Title: Reverse Track for navigation
Post by: Dosensuppe on August 08, 2018, 21:12:15
Hi,
I want to use a track for navigation, but in the opposite direction. Now, I've read about a dozen times that, in this case, one can copy an existing track and tick an option to make it a reversed copy. Only problem (and please consider the following in capital letters, bold, the largest font size you could ever imagine): there are no friggin options to tick other than the folder the copy should go into (and there it will go) and that's it.

So can someone please tell me how it's done?

PS: Is it really necessary to have 4 verification steps for this (with 2 or 3 of them being some kind of joke ... can I leave those blank)?

I've used this feature a few times. I'm not sure why destination folder selection is so important? The new track has a unique filename; so simply long tap on that reversed track, tap the Move button, and select the desired destination folder? More important to me (although not a high priority for suggestion to developer) is that any navigation commands for the original track are not also recalculated/ reversed for the new track.

I think that I perhaps didn't explain the problem. I cannot reverse (invert or whatever) an existing track in locus. There is no option for that (non that I could find).

try this: from track list > tap on track > tap caret ^ button (bottom/ right) > tap Create copy > check box: Change route orientation, also note it IS possible to select a different folder > tap CREATE.
I hope that helps?

Thanks for trying to help. I'll say it once more: When I create a copy of a track, there is no option to reverse the track (the mentioned "change route direction" isn't there). The only thing the copy dialog asks for is the folder in which the copy should be created.

Also, there is ne separate option to reverse an already created copy (none that I could find at least).

App version is 3.32.2 and was downloaded from play store just recently.

The option to reverse the track only appears from "Create copy" from the "^" on the track detail screen which you get by tapping on the track displayed on the map. The screens are illustrated below.
It does not appear if you copy a track using the Data | Tracks | [select track(s) | [wrench icon] | [copy icon].

Thank you very much!

Just in case someone knows, is there a reason for the different ways of copying a track leading to a different set of options? Meaning, basically doing the same from a user perspective leads to different results.
