What about this "old" idea from Helpdesk?

Yes, value of altitude was added ... but I miss the described event which triggers audiotrainer.

You mean so called "Altitude event" suggested by Taras D? It is correct, this was not implemented.

Yes, that's what I mean.  :)

I found this idea very interesting, because while climbing a mountain neither the absolute distance nor the elapsed time  are a real indicator for the fulfilment of the current aim.
