Hi unfortunately I cannot reply in that thread where you write about route planning. There is no reply button for me.

Exactly my experience. I think very often when dragging the map it happens that it adds a new point or moves existing ones. Not sure. Seems like as if my finger loses connection to the touch screen of my sony z1 for a millisecond. I prefer brouter planning on PC because on Locus it is not fun.

In the old thread lor74cas wrote "dragging the points often is very difficult, sometimes dragging occurs when unwanted. More usable is moving the points by modify menu and using pick on the map.
For me dragging is not convenient and produces more errors than results."

Exactly my experience and beside the small screen (Sony Z1) one of the reasons why I do planning on PC mostly (brouter-web).

I don't know if it's the device or if there can be done some sensitivity tuning on Locus' end... sometimes while dragging the finger seems to lose connectivity to the screen and then Locus does unwanted things. Moving waypoints, adding waypoints, can't remember. I think it mostly happens when dragging map.

Suggestion how to change the point shift on small screen phones. Click a point and select "move point" in the menu. Then click on another location and the point moves. This could work, especially in combination with the zoom option.

CZ: Návrh jak změnit posun bodu na malých obrazovkách telefonů. Kliknout na bod a v menu zvolit "přesunout bod". Pak kliknout na jiné místo a bod se přesune. To by mohlo fungovat, obzvlášť v kombinaci s možností zoomu.

Wow! Congratulations, Menion!
Probably the single most amazing new feature since I started with Locus! The editor is so clean and intuitive - great.
And thx to everyone here discussing the development progress - it really paid off!

Yes we know it but we are 3 beta tester with the same issue in this small beta group . Let's see if the normal users will find also this issue. You cannot tell them all not to use drag and use modify instead. If you release something new it must work for all or it needs something to turn it on/off.

No worry, just give it a while. Btw drag & drop worked all these years ... how you used previous "Add new route & measure" feature? No dragging? Or is new route planner a lot slower then previous planner?

Also if anyone encounter crashes right at start on 4.x devices, sorry, bug-fix tomorrow.

Hi menion, new route planner is awesome, but on old phone which I use only for Locus, there are crashes

- when I open route planner
- when I finish editing track

The device is running Android 4.4.4 KitKat so I don't know if that's a missing backward compatibility or a configuration specific bug. On devices with higher Androids both features seem working.

thanks for new version!
- "import" in data screen "point tab" and "tracks tab" top right on 3-dot button is gone :-[ Why?
- long click on these 3-dot button > label "more options" appear, with no further options ?!

My experience is that drag & drop in new Route Planner has similar behavior/ dynamics to old "Add new route & measure". I never used drag & drop in "Add new route & measure" because A) there was no undo; B) it was really only useful for short distance; C) couldn't move to existing point. Operation is slightly confusing when first used, and does take some training and experience to use accurately. It is useful in Route Planner to quickly create a Shaping point.

@menion - updated to Locus Pro 3.26 but crash in Route Planner when I tap on the big blue Route Profile button - "Unfortunately Locus Map has stopped" - what do we call this button so everyone here uses same language/ terminology?

Funny - until I read the 3.26 news http://www.locusmap.eu/news-version-3-26-0/ I didn't notice that each Shaping point icon has a number inside. On a small screen this is nearly impossible to see. Is this number of use if too small to see?

I note we should adopt standard terminology "auxiliary points" instead of "track points".

I note missing video links in the news at "Here is a short video introducing new Route planner: {RP video}" & "Check this short video introducing new Track editor: {TE video}".

It looks you have old phone. What's the Android you use?

It seems more users meet the same problem:
http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/version-3-26-crashes-every-time-if-typ-of-routing-button-is-pressed-in-rout-planing-window (http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/version-3-26-crashes-every-time-if-typ-of-routing-button-is-pressed-in-rout-planing-window)

My bet is broken backwards compatibility (Locus minimum Android version is 4.0).

Thanks @Bucky Kid. Well observed. 3.26.0 working fine with Sony Xperia Z1/ Android 5.0. Crashing with Samsung Note tablet/ Android 4.0.3. Tablet was working fine with the 3.25.5.5 beta.

This is probably not related to the new version, but I noticed something about the "Image Map Calibration" feature: The dialogs to select a point vary significantly from "Select on image" to "Select on map":
Select on Image has OK and Zoom buttons (horizontally) to the lower right, but no two-finger zoom is possible.
Select on map otoh has the OK button to the lower left, and Zoom plus "Center to GPS" to the right, but vertically. And two-finger zoom is possible.
Apart from the "Center to GPS" button, which only makes sense on the map, I think the rest should be identical.
Furthermore, I got an FC: Add a new point, but immediately close the selection screen (on image). Then instead tap the map icon to select on map - boom!
And, last thing: Both selection screen have the title "Select on map" - probably, it would be better to call the first one "Select on image".

Great - especially now the elevation screen together with the map!

BUT:
can you please include a posssibility to show the slope in percentage (in the elevation screen) - that would be absolutely perfect then (eg like Osmand does since a couple of months).

As I wrote before, sorry for a troubles on 4.x devices. Again some changes during last week where I was sure it will work as expected ... and well, seems that Android support library that should bring some nice features from new Android versions to old, does not work in all cases.

Issue is already fixed, new version planned on today!

Problem with dragging. Firstly thanks for a feedback. I had no idea for all these years that drag&drop has such a problems in old planner. I'll try to do something with it next weeks.

Not working "Import" in track screen: copy & paste problem, thanks fixed

@Andrew Heard:
thanks, video links fixed ( removed for now ).
Numbers on shaping points ... if they are so small that they are almost invisible, then it is not a problem they are there right? :)

@slarti76:
thanks, this screen also needs and improvements. At least quick change in bottom control to unite system little bit. Pinch zoom will be more complicated, and really better title needs an translation, so both later.

@bezel:
not a simple task, suggest to check if such idea exists on http://help.locusmap.eu and vote there.

@0709:
Willy thanks for a log, it will be same issue as mentioned here before ... consider as fixed.

Thanks for quick bugfixing version.
I have noticed that SmartMaps online maps were removed from LoStore. I just mention that officially they terminated the service on 31.8., but unofficially the map tiles server was extended for indefinite period. Now on 12.10. their server is still running - can the online source be re-added via user tweak?

Hello Bucky Kid,
maybe you noticed, that no other application used SmartMaps maps expect Locus & SmartMaps application. It was possible because I was creating this SmartMaps application in early Android days, so I have a friends in PLANStudio company. Because online version of their maps was created mainly as preview of offline maps, that are no more sold, I promised to P. Žemlík to remove also online maps since October. So sorry, they cannot be added back, even thanks to XML configuration.

Menion, I am really thankful for all your help - but I still wonder why it is not possible to show the percentage of the slope (incl. the elevation display) on the second sreen aswell. With Osmand it is working, they do have this possibility  - it is it to hard to include this feature aswell in locus?
It would be a very helpful feature, especially for the cyclists.

Thank you very much for your help!

(I have suggsted this feature -second/ splitted screen with elevation profil and slope percentage- months ago on the wish-list/ suggestion site)

Congratulations, the new track planner/editor is a great move. So I will happily try to use it more often. It's about convenience, Brouter-web is pretty good there.

First idea: I think there is no possibility to center the map on the currently edited track. This is especially useful, since we can exit the screen and return later. I hat to search for the current edit at first then...

Locus 3.26.1, unfortunately, opening route planner stil forces close on KK device. Close track editor now works everywhere.

One more bug: long tap on any toolbar button, choose from menu Edit panels makes crash also.
Crash from menu -> edit function panels too.

Yet one small wish for efficiency improvement, would it be possible to add control handler for quick map selector in route planner/track editor? Switching maps is frequently needed during route creation.

its a bit hard to explain for myself - but I it would be helpful to see in the height/ altitude profile aswell at by myself selected points the approximate slope percentage.

Correct, as these artificial helper (fake) points in the planner screen come and go without leaving any trace. So not to be named "track points".
@0709 - as far as I know, until 3.26, we used term "track points" and no-one made mention of it. I agree Aux point is probably better, especially in context of Route Planner.

@menion - sort of right. Now I understand "Select an item" dialog with items like "Part <N> of route" that <N> refers to the tiny number inside the Shaping point icon. Could icon size/part # size be bumped +1 point? Even config.cfg setting? I don't mind generally bigger icons. I already have config.cfg dev_gui_main_rescale_value=1.25. Maybe icon/# can take into account dev_gui_main_rescale_value?

Understand, thanks for a screenshots. I'm closer to what Andrew wrote here (http://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=5916.msg49208#msg49208) . Idea is to keep this screen as clean and simple as possible. Second thing here is, that you probably noticed it ... chart at bottom of route planner and good old big chart looks different. It is because I'm experiencing with new library for charts and because of this, adding these floating labels is currently not so easy task, sorry.

@Bucky Kid:
thanks, log helped. Issue is because of links to external programs. Will be fixed in next version in Monday, thanks!

@Joachim Buhl:
what is exactly "route editor"? We are trying to use only "track editor" and "route planner". Anyway after longer thinking, I've decided to keep these two features with exactly defined purpose.

"Track editor" - post-editing tracks after recording. Main use case: correctly stored recorded track, because of statistics, because I want to have them correct.
"Route planner" - planning or modifying tracks/routes for later re-use, mainly for navigation purpose.

I should probably write this on more visible place, because it will affect future development a lot.

From above is clear, that work with navigation commands does not belong to Track editor, but to Route planner. Click in Route planner on track and in menu choose "Convert to navigation command".

@Andrew Heard:
hmm it should be a lot better ( and mainly logical ) to scale these points by settings > maps > points & tracks > map icons size. Thanks, done

@slarti76:
same issue as reported a while ago by Bucky Kid, sorry for this, will be fixed in next version. And "On-board calibrator" > well, I'm looking on this feature for some time and I'm aware it needs an improvements. Later ;)

Hello menion, great you found the bug. I have yet remarks to track editing mode:

- when entering track editor, don't auto open the tools menu. Except add/edit trackpoint, the right trackpoint needs be selected on the map first.
- questionable because the undo button but I think for add/edit trackpoints tool, a possibility to delete unwanted trackpoint(s) without closing the tool would be helpful (for example by long tap on trackpoint, or add delete button on label as it was on previous version)
- as I already mentioned, please consider quick map switcher accessible directly from route planner/track editor, it would improve the work too

@menion - am I wrong - it is not possible to modify an existing track with the Route planner - because the modification is always saved to a new track? As previously discussed, and suggestion here - http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/allow-3-26-route-planner-to-edit-and-save-existing-track.

Good morning guys,

@balloni55:
dynamic width of track ... it looks like you have defined width of track in unit "metres" instead of "pixels" ( in track style dialog ).

Computed area: hmm it should be really a precise area defined by trackpoints, not just a green area visible on the map. Old system from times, it was not possible to compute route between shaping points. Hard to solve for now, hmm ...

@druki:
yes, I know it is weird place. For now, I do not know better. All these settings are not so important, so to place them directly into left menu or directly into top toolbar seems to me like too visible for it's low usage. Now you know ;)

I have to go back to the new height profile showing in the "route-planner screen":

for several months now OSMAND offers the possibility to show simultaneously on two "screens" the route on the map and below the profile of the height INCLUDING the slope in percentage (at the point in the map or height profile you clicking).
See screenshot here:

(https://s1.postimg.org/1wgdqj1kyj/OSMAND_screenshot_01.jpg) (https://postimg.org/image/1wgdqj1kyj/)

I know the slope/percentage can't be absolutely correct, but anyway - this approximate value combined with the profile of the height and the map in the little screen above helps a lot. It is a great and very good feature Osmand offers now.
Why can't this be possible in Locus either?

In LOCUS it is now a bit too complicated:
(https://s1.postimg.org/8n9me4i6bv/LOCUS_screenshot_01.jpg) (https://postimg.org/image/8n9me4i6bv/)
-> in the "new" routeplanner it shows me only the height profil

(https://s1.postimg.org/94zo2pyrqz/LOCUS_screenshot_02.jpg) (https://postimg.org/image/94zo2pyrqz/)
-> opening the settings with the statistics of the track it shows me just the diagram with height profile and percentage of slope at the point I have choosen - but no map simultaneously on a second screen.

This feature would be such a great help especially for all the cyclists - and it would make Locus much more complete than it is already.
Please - I would be so thankful if you/ someone can work on this!

Hello,
hope that all major problems are now solved in new 3.26.2 version, that will come during next hour on Google Play. News as usually after app start or already on help desk. Thanks to all.

I still do not see this idea on help desk with correct tag and many votes :)

The new route planner is great and a step in the right direction.

How to discard the route planner without saving and without "session restored" in next session of planning?

Is tracks display style now hard set to "Always show simple track description"?
Maybe I've looked badly but can't find the option (hide/simple/complex) in settings anymore.
As I remember it was placed in Maps>Points and tracks.
Now if I edit tracks category > Descriptions on map => I have Main setting, but where is the main setting?

For me, if the width is defined in metres it is too thin at low zooms while if it is defined in px it is too thick at low zooms. What I would like is a width that changes at the same rate as the width of vector map roads, which is something like 150% change for each zoom level.

New Beta 3.26.2.1  (@balloni55, it's here ;) ) is out for testing. Hope you will like improvements in UI dialog for no-go, let me know ;).

@0709:

@Bucky Kid:
please check settings > maps > points & tracks > track popup content ( hmm, little weird place, agree )

It's quite possible that this idea could replace the choice between metres and pixels (neither of which are satisfactory) and so reduce the complexity of the UI.

@menion I understand but I don't think a typical user would expect this behavior? Add nogo --> reroute. Delete nogo (yes, not over current route) --> no change. And no way to force recalculation at present, or until some suggestion like this http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/allow-3-26-route-planner-to-recalculate-route-with-different-profile.

Hi Menione. The new NOGO panel is great. Good work. For less experienced users, however, it may be confusing that when changing the "use" of NOGO to a "ban", the route is recalculated itself, but when it is changed to "enabled", you must enter the recalculation manually by pressing a large button.

CZ: Ahoj Menione.

Route planner: Really great! Though I can't access everything from with inside I can leave the route planner and do what I need to do (e.g. change map theme) and then come back to the planner.

Also great is the possibility to add a point to the route at the beginning, at the end and to modify the route "in the middle".
But this is only possible for already visible points. What if the point is not visible or there is no existing point?

We also have the  <Hamburger menu>/Add point but it doesn't help with add a point to the route at the beginning or in the middle.
Request #1: Let user select if he wants to add the point at the beginning, the middle or at the end of the route.

The Add point looks quite similar like in other places where I can select a position. But it is missing few possibilities: Screen center and Select On Map
Request #2: Add Screen center and Select On Map in Route Planner/<Hamburger menu>/Add point

Ok, one might say that this can be done directly from the planner screen but then I come back with my Request #1...

I think implementation of these two requests would make the Route Planner more complete and consistent.
@Menion: Please think about it.

absolutely agree that users won't expect current behavior after removing Nogo. That's also one of main reasons, why Nogo is not yet public, only in Beta.

@Žajdlík Josef:
- problem with "unlogic behavior" > as discussion with Andrew before..
- using Nogo in Pro version ... well, yes. Expected side-effect.

@slarti76:

About missing points on map. I believe most useful is long click on the map. This allows really quickly add necessary place everywhere into plan as you need. If this works, it should "solve" missing options in location selector, right?

"px" is already equal "dp" system. You may notice that defined width in "px" does not match exactly real pixels of your screen. What you need is some "dynamic" unit system that increase it's value based on zoom level right? In this case, it needs a new option "dynamic" + edit field that will define some "increment" value.

Post by: john_percy on October 27, 2017, 15:06:23
I take your point. However, I don't think it is quite as complex as that. The current choice is between an increment of 0% (fixed pixel width) and 100% (scaled width in metres). What I'm asking for is a third choice with an intermediate scaling of 70%.
I will stop pestering soon, I promise.

I think I would describe it as automatic scaling. The track would scale at the same rate as the width of roads and paths on vector maps, which seems pretty logical to me.
As already said, my rationale is:
Quote from: john_percy on October 18, 2017, 17:08:03

3.26.2.2: Line/ track/ route styles general comment: from my initial testing the new functionality is a fantastic advance. Well done @Menion. I have done a comparison of certain tracks pre/ 3.26.2.2 version with 0..6% slope. Now the new color is mostly red and exactly how my body remembers how hard the cycling actually was. Bravo!

@0709 & others have done a lot of work with color palette suggestions. The current Locus palette is very dominated by green, with very uneven transition between colors. :
(https://s1.postimg.org/6z5jr26dpn/current.png) (https://postimg.org/image/6z5jr26dpn/)

I really like 0709's proposed 9 color palette:
(https://s1.postimg.org/359jm9rqbf/0709.png) (https://postimg.org/image/359jm9rqbf/)
Because there is no blending of colors, or maybe just less colors, if I saw a particular color (slope %) on a map I would be confident I would know what % slope this color represents.

There is also a 15 color version, but for me, more colors with only subtle differences, means it becomes harder to tell which color represents a specific band of slope or altitude.

@john_percy:
I'll discuss this with @voldapet next week, but I'm really not a fan of this, as I still do not see any practical benefit here.
I set track to be 5 px width (because it's optimal for me) and I then see this track correctly no matter, which zoom is set. So why should I need to have this track wider at higher zoom levels? In case of content of map (like roads in vector map), situation is different. Map content many various objects and in lower zoom levels, it is needed not just to display less of them, but also smaller, to present as much information as possible. This is anyway not a common case of own tracks on map, where is expected that everyone has just a few of them on a map at once (in most cases).

@Andrew Heard:
thanks for a really useful (and first) feedback on this topic!!
To your points:

I've for now only reduced dynamic palette from 40 to 20 colors, but I'll look at it closer. I'm anyway surprised that green is so dominant. You are coloring some faked track to achieve this? May you share it with me? Thanks

2) not sure here. I was thinking about it a lot and for me cancel/save at bottom should confirm whole style edit screen. Also from practical point of view, you usually set colors etc. and then you try set limits on this altitude or slope colors and then? You wants to return to map as fast as possible, right?[/li][/list]
@menion the user may be changing any number of style settings. I see no reason for special quick return from min/max limits screen - the pencil icon has other settings below - width/ outline/ close line. Why would you expect settings limits be the last change before return to map? To me tapping Save on limits screen is just to save min/ max settings, not to confirm all other settings.

I have never used the display of a line with a multicolored version. However, I would greatly appreciate if Locus had this feature in a simplified way in the route planner. This could be an option in the Scheduler menu: "Notify X-Percent Tilt". When I activate it, I would set the percentage and Locus would need a reddish part of the track with this slope. This could be used for planning a trip for rides with children, etc.

I guess it depends on what you are aiming at. Below is the sort of effect I envisaged, showing the same route scaled at zoom = 12, 14, 16, 18. At least that shows what I had in mind. I wanted a transparent overlay so the details of the map are not hidden.

In doing this, I found another problem in that when I tap on the transparent track to select it, everything is obscured by the inverted track.

New Beta version 3.26.2.3

@john_percy:
sorry, idea with dynamic width of line declined after discussion with Petr and Michal. We do not see it as an useful tool for common usage. I believe that 99% of used may be perfectly covered by existing "px" unit, even an "metres" are something, I'm not perfectly happy width.

I'd like to ask you guys to have a look here:
http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/track-editor-move-points-without-changing-timestamp
I think it's more a bug than a feature that moving points with the "Insert/edit" function in the track editor changes there timestamp (even though most of the time it's not significant). At least it's just not intuitive.
Thx!

@Christian: +1

@menion:
1. Thanks for considering my suggestion anyway
2. On the new beta, the screen for editing track styles does not always work. The Save and Cancel buttons disappear when dropdown menus appear in full screen mode (bottom buttons appear in Moto G2)
3. On the new beta, selected track shows the inverse of the pattern, even if the pattern checkbox is turned off
I'll provide screenshots if needed

I have never used the display of a line with a multicolored version. However, I would greatly appreciate if Locus had this feature in a simplified way in the route planner. This could be an option in the Scheduler menu: "Notify X-Percent Tilt". When I activate it, I would set the percentage and Locus would need a reddish part of the track with this slope. This could be used for planning a trip for rides with children, etc.
Currently
a) it is possible to setup width of lines in Route planner, nothing more
b) global line style affect these lines, weird
I was thinking about it, and in the end, I've removed option to set width of line and instead, I've added into menu option to setup full style of lines, thanks

@john_percy:
2. when you tap on "Line coloring" selection, bottom panel completely disappear??
3. it worked in same way also in previous versions, maybe it was not so visible as is not. Point here is to highlight track and it's orientation, as much as possible. Maybe little confusing when we consider that symbols are disabled, on second side, it should allow to see line better.
Hmm should be more logical to just highlight such selected tracks always with simple arrow and inverse  base color? Maybe it worked like this in previous versions and not how I made it now. Thanks

2. The second and third images show how the bottom button panel appears and the Cancel and Save buttons disappear when either of the drop-down menus are selected

I hadn't noticed this behaviour before but checking on the current full Pro version with a simple line, the track's colour inverts and arrows appear in the colour of the non-inverted track. I don't see why arrows should appear at all if they are not selected.

Stupid unsolvable "bug" in Android: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/36992828 . Well, Android developers consider this as "not a bug", so it won't be solved and as I'm searching, still no one discovered any hack how to bypass this, sorry.

I understand. The particular problem in this screen is that the Save button disappears, making the UI useless.

Hi Menion,
seeing dp, px mentioned, this reminds me of a long standing pain: Locus is no longer reasonably compatible with Mapsforge. And the themes are just the prime example: size definitions differ, missing priorities and alike.
I think this house-keeping is long overdue. And this is not a question of voting, just to close that door.
Also the extra label layer like in Cruiser is the only way to get in control of the currently totally unreliable and unpredictable displaying of labels.
Christmas is nearing - time of a gift :-)
TXs and cheers
Michael

Hmm currently in Locus Map is available MapsForge in version 0.8.0, which is automatically used in case, generated map is in version 4 and higher. So if you are able to generate maps in this version, feel free to test and use it.

I know this and tried, but there are other issues.
The MF libs alone will not give you the proper label layer, there is more algorithm needed, which would benefit Locus itself as well.
The parallel existence of Locus private and MF algorithms do not deliver the strengths of MF into Locus. In fact the discussion is about COMBINING the strengths of both. Long overdue ...

Don't understand. I thought that MF as is should work as you need, so same as in Cruser app etc. Or not?

Mapsforge is a powerful set of APIs, but not a complete App in itself.
The proper label display feature is built into the Cruiser App (using MF libs), but is not a gift from those APIs automatically.
You can test by displaying a heavily populated area with Cruiser and compare it to Locus with MF-ML maps (from MF or OAM/elevate theme), which enfore the MF lib you integrated. You will be shocked by the difference.
Rendering has two modes, and both show much a better selection of Labels. "Priorities" in themes make a big positive difference already, compared to Locus. And the extra Label Layer shows a fully proper and complete set of labels, as dictated by the map content and the theme.
If you look at a map and cannot tell if a blank space is because there is nothing of what you are looking for, or if the App has "forgotten" to display the expected - not good ... !

Michael thanks for an answer, but you did not answered to my question I think.
Or you wants to say that even a map in version 4, thank in Locus should use latest 0.8.0 version of MF library, looks different compare to other apps that use this new version of MF?

True, Locus display via MF 0.8 looks different from Cruiser, which is kind of reference App for MF.
I documented with two screenshots, both with the basic OSMARENDER theme:
- the Cruiser one (advanced, lextra label layer mode) correctly shows both cities
- the Locus one is missing Wiesbaden
When I check Cruiser in normal mode, it is missing Mainz instead.
Rendering without Label Layer is like rolling the dice ...
Maybe you have a talk with Emux to explore.

BTW: a full migration of all MF features may be a longer term endeavor (while preserving the speed of Locus :-).
But I suppose that theme functions like "display=always" will not be too hard to implement. And would give a LOT of power to theme authors.
Priorities would be the next on the list, but may need some more thoughts.
TXs and cheers

I found some inconvenience with the route planner as it automatically saves unfinished routes.

- I am somewhere else (lets say POS1) and want to start from there.
- I enter route planner, it loads the last, unfinished route and centers the map there
- I don't need it and abort that one

The inconvenience is, now I have lost the POS1 and need to find it.

And as for the route planner, it has been mentioned: possibility to change map and theme is desparately needed.

Good day Tapio,
Route planner expect that you have some unfinished work so it simply allows to quickly continue from where you left. Imagine opposite situation, when you do some planning, you will want to continue, but meanwhile you change you center location, zoom etc. on main map screen and after return to Route planner, you will hardly search for a place, when you end with planning before ...

Hello, Menion!
I can open recorded track in "Route planner". The route planner opens with two shaping points placed on start and end of track,  and with auxiliary point placed in the middle of track. The route placed exactly over track. But when I move auxiliary point, the route rendered as two straight segments (from start to aux. point and from aux point to end). It is a bit confusing.
When I try to Navigate by the track, Locus try to make some voice command at the points where direction of track is changing. Maybe this algorithm can be adopted to create shaping points in route from track shape, so form of route will be better approximation than in current version.

Hello,
fact that route is then made only from two row segments means that you do not have enabled routing system. Tap on big blue button in bottom left and select how you wants to recompute route after some modifications. If you wants to keep part of route as is, just tap on route on certain places and create shaping point there. Create for example two shaping points before and after segment you wants to modify and then simply drag auxiliary point between. Hope this helps.

Hi,
Yes, but I think it should store the current map center when entering the planner. And go there, if I choose 'delete route'. Or in that 'restored old session' message allow to instantly undo/delete the restored session.

two minor issues
- different wording inside point/track tabs > click on folder icon "load all" click on eye button inside folder "show all"

- long click on 3-dot button top right in data window points tab or tracks tab > popup "more options" ????

If you wants to keep part of route as is, just tap on route!! on certain places and create shaping point there. Create for example two shaping points before and after segment you wants to modify and then simply drag auxiliary point between.

@tapio:
thanks for an opinion. I still vote for simple logical solution: return where you left it ..

@balloni55:
- good point with different working, I'll fix it, thanks
- about long click ... probably almost all buttons in top toolbar will have some popup hint. It is added automatically by Android in case, developer attach any text as hint to these buttons ... as I did here. And well, under button is "more options" ;).
