Title: physical point in geocaching GPX
Post by: almapi on June 07, 2017, 14:47:07
Hi,
I have a geocache box database in a GPX file. I imported it into the locus.
Several of these points have an additional waypoint (physical point of view) of the place of concealment.
I do not see it on the map right away. I must go to every point and tick the function - show the physical point. Is it possible to somehow automatically start showing these points?
Functions:
-settings/geocaching/move to endpoint
-settings/geocaching/automatic point loading
  doesn't change anything.

greetings

Good day almapi,

if you
- hide all geocaches from the map
- set automatic point loading to correct waypoint type
- load all wanted geocaches from database

is this working for you?

Hi,
I've tried everything, it doesn't work. Locus shows only parkings and nothing else.
I know the locus functions well, because I use it a few years.
Maybe it doesn't work now because I have a Locus data on external SD card? (,,menion.android.locus/files). I use android 6.0.1
This is my GPX file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g7z4k7whqnv0hnd/pomorskie.gpx?dl=0
Please for example: OP8KU3, OP8KU8
These boxes have extra points that I don't see automatically when loaded it.

Hello,
I have found a solution to my problem,
I had to click: Menu / more features / tools for geocaching / load all points
When I click on it, all the extra points are loaded and showed up on the map.
But I still wonder why these points are not loaded automatically?
Thank you.

Not sure why exactly this happens.
But it seems that these additional waypoints are considered temporary, because they disappear, as soon as you clean up the map from temporary items (the eye symbol, not sure what the corresponding menu entry is....)

Hi,
I'm checking your issue and problem is, that these waypoints does not belong to any category of existing geocaching.com waypoints. In this case, waypoint has type "Waypoint|Flag, Green". Locus currently supports only "Question to Answer", "Virtual Stage", "Final Location", "Parking Area", "Trailhead", "Physical Stage" and "Reference Point".

So I think that from this choice, best should be to automatically set type of "unknown wapoints" to "Reference Point". This seems to be quite neutral category and it will be possible to correctly handle it's loading etc. Ok? If so, then try next version and let me know.

O.K.
I will test it in the next update. You need to know that my friend has free versions of locus and there was no such problem. These green flags (waypont's) appeared automatically after the GPX was loaded.
Where I can download the fix beta version?

greetings
