Title: Openandromaps map + Locus POI - how?
Post by: Tapio on December 18, 2016, 10:31:19
Hi, I reorganzed my SD and deleted the maps from Locus store. I am using the Openandromaps exclusively. But I left the POI databases.

Let's say in the same folde there's:
bayern.map (from OAM)
bayern.db (from Locus store)

The map can be used, but the POI window has no databases loaded. No POIs. What can I do? I am under the impression that Locus needs the Locus store maps in order to be able to use the poidb.

TIA!

The name is bayern.osm.db, resp. bayern.osm.map - just try :-)

Yes, this works. So what I learn is: The poi database must not be renamed. It is the OAM map which has to be renamed.

They may be renames, names just needs to end *.osm.db and *.osm.map as Michael wrote.

Excellent!
But what if the OAM area wider than the territory of the POI?
For example, the Caucasus - Caucasia_N - (cyrillic).map (http://www.openandromaps.org/en/downloads/russia), should have a POI of Lomaps Adygea+ Krasnodar+Stavropol+..., etc.
Advise the utility to merge many files into one db.
