Title: Map of Town (Berndorf) in Germany is not accurate
Post by: 48flash on November 19, 2016, 17:39:16
Hi everybody,

I have acquired locus map earlier this year and have enjoyed using it especially because it does provide a very high level of geo-details. It's also very easy and fun to use. However, when returning back home I feel quite some disappointment looking at the map as it shows one street that the map does not reflect as it is in reality.

I have shown the relevant section of the map to people who have been living in this area for ages (over 50 years) and they have confirmed that the relevant street never had the course as shown in locus map.

Is there any way in which this fault could be addressed and corrected?

Cheers,

Andrés

Yes, there is, and it's yourself being in the best position to do that, Andre.
Vespucci is a nice Android app that allows to amend and correct the OSM database from which the maps you are seing (Locus, OpenAndroMaps, MapsForge, you name it) are compiled.
Which map in fact are you using right now ?
There are also PC based tools that work with the OpenStreetMap.org database.
Cheers
Michael

For beginners I would propose to edit Openstreetmap with JOSM (https://josm.openstreetmap.de/)
Or you can get help here (https://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=14)

I read this. It was very helpful for me who never knew this before.

Die Daten der Karte sind vom OSM Projekt. Locus kann die Daten nicht ändern. Jeder Benutzer kann das aber selber tun. Siehe hier:
http://learnosm.org/de/beginner/
oder
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DE:Beginners%27_guide

für Anfänger ist es am leichtesten mit dem ID-Browser (Ersatz für die alte Version Potlatch2)

PS: normal wird hier nur Englisch geschrieben es gibt aber auch einen Deutschen Bereich:
