I want to announce a new POI search and sharing service named Waypointer
http://waypointer.info (http://waypointer.info)
Main features are
* POI search on map by categories
* POI can be downloaded as file
* you can organize your favorite POIs using tags
* POI collections can be shared or embedded into page
* you can upload your own POIs to the service
* more than 7 millions POIs already available
Here you can find more detailed description (http://blog.waypointer.info/2014/12/waypointer-poi-search-management-service.html).
More information about managing POI by using Waypointer in video lessons (http://blog.waypointer.info/2015/07/how-to-upload-and-download-gps-poi.html).
Hmm, what a nice service. Congratulation and wish you many satisfied users!
That's really close to my wish, I want to see/use in Locus with POIdb!
Nice clean visibility btw.
plz compare Locus | Waypointer in same area

Imho the map in Locus is clearer, not paved with big signs. Information about POIs is well-sorted in POI-db and searchable with type and name.
@gynta
Is it a screenshot from locus?
The icons of the WPT are also imported or only the coordinate ?
What format do you use to import in locus : kml ?

As i wrote: "close to my whish"
IF(!) i need a POI - i want to see my targets in good distinction.
After using - i need it no more.
Searching for Water while hiking? Fine - show me only "water" not 1.028.248 other Points on map like currently in Locus solution. No tiny icons twice, no church, no hotel, no viewpoint, no museum,... together with the selected light colored water icons
After drinking, I like to switch off ALL unwanted visible Points: No POIdb icons, no vector map points and no theme points.
Again - I would like to decide for myself. If I don't want to see a bakery - please let me deselect this group.
@Iamat66
It was only a screenshot from website...
I prefer a map similar to good old paper maps with information about surrounding area. Not only points I am looking for but other interesting things too. Each to his own.

KaHeMu
