Title: Problem importing compe rmap: Invalid Data mapDataOffset, zoomLevels
Post by: chbla on February 16, 2015, 14:38:20
Hi there,

I've exported a map with QuoVadis 7 (Hangneigungskarte Alpen) and am trying to import it into locus maps so I can
use it as an overlay.

If  I want to load it I get:
Invalid data, mapDataOffset 0, zoomLevels 5

what did I do wrong here?

Thank you,
Christoph

How big is the created map?
Can you export a small map and test if you can load it? If not you should try to contact menion and send him this (a) small map for testing.

But even the map will be loaded with Locus I fear "RMAPS" canĀ“t be used as overlays.

It's only a small test so the card is not that big.
I basically just need a way to export my maps from QuoVadis to Locus.
At least those that work, I think it cannot handle protected compe maps, right?

I can provide an example if needed, but I have no idea what the error means

You need to share sample map. Otherwise I'm unable to do anything ...

I could not try it in a different program, I think there are not many that support rmaps.
I am trying to export from QuoVadis, I'm not sure if there is another compatible format..

Oki. Then from my quick test, exported map cannot work. File seems to be too small. At begin in file is information where should be placed images for load, but this information leads byte that is not in file. So I think that this map is incorrectly exported. To be 100% sure, you may try for example OruxMaps application, which should be also able to load RMap format.

it was only a subsection, not the complete map.. but I'm unsure if there isn't a better option in QuoVadis
it seems there are not many compatible formats

I'm not sure if there is another compatible format..
to be sure please search for an other map app to view your exported map.
If it works, I'm sure Menion will have a 2nd look on this maps.
