From QuaVadis is now an Android GPS navigation software new on the market.
There is a trial version available.

Do you want to say "Goodbye"? :'(
They say "... lässt es unterwegs keine Wünsche offen.", but there is no feature of geocaching and they say it's simple. So it can't be as powerful as locus ;-) I don't even want to try. The only interesting thing seems to be budy-tracking.
...and 3d-maps ;)
and offline navigation ;) ... uff, time to leave world of Android ... :'(
Better stay here otherwise you will miss such funny threads like this ,)
I try it...to expensive..no caching..no usefull things for me..and the design...no way. Ok its a beta....delete.
Incredibly slow and unintuitive.
I really don't want to say good bye !
I worked for over 12 years with the QuoVadis software for pc, later together with Pathaway on my old HP hx 4700.
At that time there was no other software available.
Since I am an Android user I joined Locus and as you can read in the apps remarks in Locus where I praised Locus for the best software I have used. So far my position.
I see the the first QVA beta is very poor. But maybe we can see in the future some features which can usefull in Locus too.
Locus has the best developer and the best support! And the best forum...
Menion should be cloned 10 times.
Or anybody should give him 240 hours a day.
So far for the best "developer".
For the features....
Hmm yes...
3D maps
Offline navigation
Buddy tracking
Syncing points and tracks to other devices
But agree, best forum I've been in since years!
I agree after using 15 years gps hiking software.

syncing to wearables. The first wearable with fully working heart rate monitor and GPS will be bought. And than i would like to use Locus or tracks from within my Locus.

Yes.
Nice post, thanks guys :).
Because of this discussion, I'll share with you some of my roadmap
Priorities
1. content of Store - I have already working solution for IGN maps, partiall solution for Swiss Topo and continue neverending discussion with Outdoor Active
2. after step 1 will be done, I'll focus on offline POI/address DB, Peter then try to start with long time wanted Buddy tracking
3. meanwhile Ormoru finish some nice features for "Add-on field notes" and then start work on "Add-on for wearables" ;)
I'm curious what from above list will be done :)
Btw. is this http://help.locusmap.eu/responses/auto_zoom_based_on_distance_to_waypoint
this? ;)

Funny thread. When knocking on bush.... a bit of a roadmap appears ;)
Thanx menion for this lookout. So i hope statistics are coming up also ;)
It's because I had small feeling, that it looks that nothing new comes in Locus world ;)
Oh,
I have a suggestion.
I calibrated a map as kmz. But this is always 100 %, without any transparency and I can't view any other map (overlay) like hiking or cycling routes from vector maps. Is it possible to implement?

looks nice - but it's difficult to say without any first self test.
