Since cloudmade has stopped its route service :( , I lost my favorite online service. But looking around in this fabled internet, so much people talk of, ;D I found this http://openrouteservice.org/?lang=en.
What do you mean is it possible to add this service to Locus?
Hi,
they write "If you intend to use OpenRouteService in your own applications please contact us. We are interested in spreading the usage of OpenRouteService in academic and non-profit projects." - I'll give this as a task to Peter, to contact them and we will see
@menion,
are there any news?
Thanks in advance
Jusc, have a look at the last lines in the config file 8)
Sorry, what do you mean? Which config file?
topic was another route service?
answer: dev_enable_google_directions=1
Maybe I have been misunderstood. I asked for adding Openrouteservice (1. post) to sources of routing in settings/navigation, where you can choose the BRouter, Mapquest... but no longer Cloudmade.
@menion,
any news? ;D
@voldapet, any news? :)
If I remember correctly, we discuss with Peter about this few weeks ago and because we found that it's some scholl project where is no stable server background and whole project may change a lot, we not planned to add it to Locus for now. Anyway I'm not 100% sure now.
Hi jusc and others,
I do not know any news from Peter, but becuase of lack of time, I've created this small page (small for now), where anyone little bit skilled with android, may find useful information - "What to do"
http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:locus_api:tips_for_developers
Seems like I should move to the southern part of the world.
They have winter there.
I believe that there is already enough routing services, so enjoy sunny days ;)
