Title: locus cannot import files from gpsies
Post by: Rocco66 on August 30, 2013, 16:26:13
Hello,
I tried to import a track,  downloaded from gpsies.com. Locus showed the error message that there were problems with the file. So I tried every format which they offer on gpsies. com. With same result.
Any Idea?

Locus version:

bad/korrupt format

why? dont know, but
google earth can't load his own kmz format
and other apps also can not load your gpx.
so i think you have a bad track file from gpsies

1) all your files are exactly same
2) all files has same content
3) all files are HTML page ;)

simply rename them to *.html and display in web browser

Hi Rocco66,
you downloaded the files with your mobile stock browser, right?
Try an other browser like Opera Mobile and you will get correct file formats.
Greetings, Druki.

Ok, Opera I don't use any more (used it on Motorola Defy+), but download also works correct with Chrome on mobile (Sony Xperia V). Import in Locus works.
