Tried the nice little feature "recording profiles" which I never used before but I get an FC *every* time I try to load one of the default profiles or my own profile I created shortly before.

i think there is a problem with the new/old system.
because if there is no profiles before -> it works
I have three own profiles since a long time and I still see them in 2.6.3 but I do not see the (three?) default profiles. I saw them in the manual and want to try them out. What's happening here?

I had no profiles and Locus asked me if I want to install the default profiles. This question only comes up if you have no own profiles.
Reason for introducing default profiles was that it should be made easier for newbies (like me :mrgreen: ) to have profiles.
I guessed so but since I do not find an option to save/export my own profiles first, before deleting them I guess Menion needs to correct this in 2.6.4 :)

Ok, this is all self help here :) I changed the extension of my own profiles through OI filemanager. And then started Locus and it asked me if I wanted to download the default recording profiles. These are visble now. After that I changed back the extension of my own profiles. All perfect now.
(Still, Locus should handle that in 2.6.4, right?)
Henk, can you switch profiles without FC?
Yes, I can (sitting behind my desk and having no gps fix). And also with a fix and even during recording (without pausing or so). All smooth. :D Defy and Android 2.1
Oki, this should give Menion an idea how to fix this problem and improve the feature.

Dont works for me.
- deleted all profiles
- Locus create default profiles
- restart Locus
- load one of the default profiles
- Locus FC and restart.

Hmm, I cannot reproduce this problem anymore. But there were changes: SIII ICS->JB, Locus 2.6.x->2.71.
have now delete, add, changed, romoved,...
All works now.

On 2.7.2 now. No FC but how do I restore my own profiles? Locus now uses /data/track_rec ?
Previous was /data/trackRecProfiles
So I added my own profiles there but they do not show.
After first install I went into settings to check and then I got the question if I wanted to install the default (three) profiles , which I did. These show but not my own.

with last updates, there were quite a lot of changes. Main was change in database system for tracks and points for which I created mechanism for conversion. But format for track record profiles was quite hard to convert into completely new format, so I decided to completely remove current profiles and force user to define new own. This is half of truth. Second half is that I was thinking about if a few weeks ago and into new release, I completely forgot to do something with it. So maybe there were a way ...
Anyway, do you had a lot of them? If it's problem to create them again, then simply send me these old files and I'll manually convert them into new format
