Title: Import same file twice
Post by: jctmarques on February 03, 2011, 17:48:14
Hi
I have a pocket query that runs every week in geocaching, and is updated with the last geocaches.

I imported to locus last week, and imported the updated this week.
Locus created a duplicate geocache instead of updating the new ones. Shouldn't the old ones be deleted?

One suggestion
The point list should refresh every x sec to show the nearest ones without user interaction.

Hi,
try latest version. import is improved now.

about refreshing. I don't think that this is usable too much and it should also bring some list handling complications.

I still have a problem with duplicates. there are many caches with same name. The matching should be done at GC code, and not at cache name.

I'm testing the app with all Portuguese Geocaches (a little more than 10'000), and for now I can say it works good.

hmm that's bad, matching on GC code cannot be done. it will take too long because gc code of cartridge is not simple available in my database.

I'll have to find any solution ...
