Post by: brotbuexe on May 02, 2012, 19:04:23
See Screenshot:
Location: Elbsandsteingebirge, Saxony, East Germany
Coordinates: N 55°55.760' E 14°04.688'
Zoomlevel 14
Left Side Wanderreitkarte Hillshade (also have contour) layer
Right Side OpenMapSurfer Hillshade layer
Bottom HikeBikeMap Hillshade layer

The OMS Layer looks quite good, but the terms of use reads not so good http://openmapsurfer.uni-hd.de/contact.html (http://openmapsurfer.uni-hd.de/contact.html)

As I understand, for privat use there should be no problem, because it is legal under CC-by-SA 2.0.
So the problem seems to exist only for menion, if he wants to implemented it within Locus directly.

BTW. The OpenMapSurfer shade is nice on larger displays and with mountains. IMHO: But in (plain) cities the hill shades are bit  extreme.
