Title: Vector Map Style
Post by: sebbo on March 12, 2012, 10:57:48
Is it Possible to change the style of vector maps being displayed?
atm its like this:

which is kinda difficult/not possible to see the difference between roads, tracks and paths while driving offroad

much more usefull would be the view as on openstreetmap itself:

Hi,

this topic was just discussed in german subforum: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1683 (http://forum.asamm.cz/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1683)

Just a short summary:
- Locus uses the library from mapsforge.org for everything that has to do with vector maps
- at the moment, mapsforge is working on an update to their library. With this new library, it should be possible to change the display of vector maps
- but there is no ETA for new library
- conclusion: change display of vector maps is currently not possible, but should be in future

Cheers, berkley

don't worry sebbo. Maybe this will be working in April. Seems library move to next version that allow this and this should be done soon ...
