I'm wondering about the globe in 3D Skyplot.
Is it suppose to be a blank white globe or a textured real globe?
Mine is a blank white globe.

:) this skyplot was one of my first attempts on Android before around 2,5 year back ... I was never playing with 3D and openGL and this was just one weekend dream about some 3D. And because i don't wanted to loose this code, I placed it into Locus. And back to issue ... I'm also facing some texture problems on one device, so it's well know problem. Anyway it have very low priority ... sorry.
On my Tab i see another little problem in landscape-mode.
Can't switch GPS/Compass in this view.
Not realy a big problem - i can turn the Tab :)

It is not a serious issue.
I asked out of curiousity, I use exactly same device and same rom as my brother's (Galaxy Tab with Android 2.3.6).
But mine is a white globe while my btother's is a textured. lol :P
Menion, I really like this 3d plot. It was one of the things that told me the Locus is special in some way. So that was a good idea to leave it in the app:) but it would be great to expand it somehow. Maybe make it more zoomable. Or make it possible to look at the sattelites like you would be looking from augmented reality perspective? Or just make this screen more informative and more interactive. It is really cool and it can give you more fans!

as I wrote somewhere before. I'm really not experienced with OpenGL and such 3D stuffs ... yet :). Currently is for me hottest topic in-app billing. Thanks to this, I'll be able to offer some map providers ability to add their maps to Locus. Then will come probably some widget update (weather, parking, better track recording) and then finally! some openGL stuff ;) ... so it's really planned!
