Title: Import Caches directly from notification Mail
Post by: Beno on December 23, 2011, 12:53:52
Hello,
my wish for 2012.
Would it be possible to import Caches  directly from the GC.com notification Mails.
In this mail is a link http://coord.info/GC12... (http://coord.info/GC12...).
With apps like cgeo or cachebox you can import the cache directly from this mail to the DB.

Could this also implemented in locus?

Patrick

Hi Menion,
i forwarded an Notification Mail to your Mailaccount (locus@asamm.com).
The important link is visit <cachetyp> cache.
Usualy the link opens the browser but if installed cgeo, you can choose this app to open the link.
Then the cachedescription will be loaded and you can save it directly to the cgeo DB.

At the moment it is a little bit inconvenient.
I got the mail, open link with browser, logon to GC, download GPX file, start locus and import gpx file.

Merry Christmas
Patrick

Hi Beno, thanks for email. Unformatunately, no part of locus or any of it's addon, isn't able to load cache from geocaching.com web page directly in this way. For this you still need to use c:geo or write author of Geocaching4Locus addon, who can implement this into his application
