Title: Adding new geocache
Post by: userxxx on September 13, 2011, 11:17:43
Hi,

I am beginner in geocaching, sorry if this sounds easy for you...
I went to an event where they give new caches on paper, names and coordinates only. It is not possible to create caches in cgeo.
How do you manage this?

Thanks

The way I do it, is that I select the second top 'box' to show coordinates, then I move the map so that the coordinates are close to the new cache. Then a long press on the map center cross, when the location opens, there is a "+" sign at the bottom. Hit this and edit the coordinates to be spot on and save. In this way you'll get a brown icon on the map and you can navigate to it. No cache data can be entered (or you can add some comment text and name for the waypoint.)
