It is possible to see the track, the lenght of the track and at 'CustomScreen' you can show the lapsed route.
It is nice if a little dot at 'Information' - Track - Charts shows your current location too (Axis X - Distance).
May be the 'Zero' (= crossing x/y-Axis) is the current location.
Therfore you can see the rest of the route and altitude.
I'm on the road in the mountains, therefore, the altitude and current location is always important.
