Unfortunately the bug with external routing addons and starting navigation while moving isn't fixed. Locus still locks up while waiting for GPS, even though the signal is already there. Starting navigation via the POI addon button while driving works though as a workaround. I posted the bug in the developer forum.
The colors for elevation are now easy to read. I tested it for a few days in the mountains.
But I'd also like to see this option for the navigation route. I can choose a custom setting there, but I can't see which way to go at intersections. Sometimes there are two or three options for turning right.
I also tested the e-bike sensor for the EP8. My battery level was displayed perfectly on the dashboard.
But the first time I use it, I always have to activate it. That's very time-consuming: Menu, Settings, GPS Sensors, Sensor Manager, Connect.
If I turn off the e-bike while riding and turn it back on after a short time, the sensor is immediately recognized.
But when I launch Locus the next day, I have to reconnect the sensor.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a faster way? Or is there a way to have the sensor connect automatically every time?

Ahoj Menion, po poslednej aktualizacii mam jednu chybu :
Mam ulozenu trasu v kniznici.
@TrulloF oki, let's discuss it in a separate topic. It is starting to be quite complicated. Mainly because I'm unable to simulate any problem ...
@freischneider intersections visibility > hmm, good point, but how to do it? Default navigation colouring works pretty well here. Custom colouring is applied to the whole track, so these intersections are not as clear as before. And because I have to first draw the whole outline and then the whole fill (mainly for performance reasons), I see no easy solution here.
Auto-connect > I usually use two methods:
- shortcut to the "Sensors manager directly on the map screen, so just three taps to activate it
- and mainly auto-connect is enabled in the recording profile. So I have a bunch of sensors on the bike that always connected when I start "bike" recording profile
@Cykloturista my colleagu
@Marek Scholtz will help you here.
Great new version! Haven't seen that many great new features in one version in a while!
One observation:
It's great that the charts can now be zoomed in up to 100m sections. However, the markers at the bottom are still at minimum 0.2km distance, so in higher zoom you loose track of where you are. The marker at the current position at least has 0.1km accuracy, although in this case it would be nice to go down to 1m accuracy. Same for Time on X-Axis: Could show seconds for high zooms.

Oh, one more thing: When I pan the track such that the marker should move out on one side, it stays at the edge. Which would be ok, but the flyout still shows the values from before starting the pan. The screenshot shows additional problems: Flyout overlaying the "Zoom 100%" button and the tick marker on the X axis having "..."
Generally, I think the "Zoom 100%" button should be moved to the +/- buttons - it makes no sense to have that on each charts separately, as all zoom together anyway.

Hi, your issue should be fixed in the next release. Give it a try when it's available and let us know. Thanks!

[/list]
It's too bad that displaying intersections doesn't work the same way as in the standard navigation yet. But maybe a solution will come along eventually.
The automatic connection of the sensor via the recording profile works great—thanks.
The idea of pinning the graph is a great solution.
Problem seems to be related to my device's lack of RAM. Tested briefly on another phone with more RAM and the lockup is gone. Time for a new phone 😉.

New Beta 4.35.0.1 out now with some changes and improvements (thanks @Menion).
In case anyone would like to give them a go.
You are fast. How have you noticed so quickly? :)
4.35.0.1 si out. I'm spending a lot of time on some internal maintenance, so no serious changes are visible now. Which is usually good. I hope all will work correctly, because the change in the app settings is really, really huge (internally).
Have a nice weekend.
Version 4.35.0.1 (10.7.2026)
- chg: whole settings screens and UI items rebuilt into modern maintainable system
- add: (SILVER) a "Friends" tab on the geocache logs screen shows which of your geocaching friends found the cache
- add: choose which photo folders are visible in the geotagged media overlay — each folder can be toggled individually
- chg: (SILVER) your geocaching friends now come automatically from your geocaching.com friends list instead of a manual in-app list
- chg: support for the predictive back gesture on Android 13 and newer
- chg: coordinate system support now uses the PROJ library directly, covering a much wider range of EPSG codes with more accurate transformations
- chg: hardware button actions can now be assigned by pressing the button directly in the settings dialog
- chg: doubled the width of tracks on previews
- fix: cloud sync no longer stalls when a track or point is too large to upload — it skips the oversized item and shows a notification naming it
- fix: photos attached to a geocache log now appear in the same order as on the website
- fix: (SILVER) image map calibrator — portrait photos now load upright instead of sideways, and the calibration-point preview is larger and only shown when picking the matching spot on the base map
- fix: memory leak when opening item previews in the map items manager
- fix: sensitive account data is no longer written to diagnostic logs, and encrypted data handling is more robust
- fix: rare crash when the parking reminder started while the app was in the background
- fix: crash in landscape while a side panel was opening or closing
- fix: rare crash on the loading screen during app start
- fix: crash when opening a point with a very long description above the map
- fix: crash when starting a live-tracking session
- fix: crash when exporting points to KMZ if a folder icon could not be loaded
- fix: crash when displaying a track or route chart with a flat value range
- fix: sluggish track chart on tracks with a very large number of waypoints
- fix: several expert settings (e.g. geocaching waypoint zoom level) no longer silently reset to old values after each app restart
- fix: no longer working "Waypoint line width" settings
- fix: picture-in-picture window not opening during navigation on newer Android versions
- chg: updated Android Gradle Plugin, build toolchain, and various libraries to latest versions
Good impression as of Geotagged Photos.
Small issue.
Go from small chart to Fullscreen chart view. Click somewhere on chart. Click map button on top. The map is on the new position, but the again now visible small chart has not its line refreshed.
MyLibrary > long tap any recorded track > there is no bottom menu?? I can't move any tracks in bulk.

Two bugs:
1) 4.35.0.2 can't display simple kml (from "Active items") - it turns off "eye" button jist after I turn it on. Current release (4.35.0) ok with this file. Try it with attached file.
2) Overlay pannel shows "No map selected" after after turn off and on main switch: https://photos.app.goo.gl/BBhnnXRKqPZ27R216
Current release has this bug too.
4.35.0.2: select preset... very briefly displays orange warning. This is a new warning but not very useful - which option? and map rotation for the selected present IS on
it is displayed only briefly so had to do a screen recording

Yes.
And one more high zoom related problem: on z21+ every selected track appear completely black, no matter what display style they are set to.
Example: https://photos.app.goo.gl/JTxyw2TfcUUCGhTS9
Situation: Library is open, a track panel is shown.
What do you think about that dual behaviour - I think it's useful:
a) Go back (Android): No change. Go back to library.
b) Swipe panel down: Leave library and go into map view - with that last track shown and centered.
Same with points.
Just noticed that Map Overlays are not stored anymore when turning off:
Previously, I could turn off overlay and then turn it on again, and the previous overlay was restored.
Now, everytime I turn overlay on, I have to select the overlay I want again. Quite annoying. Not sure, with which version that started, though.
I'm also having problems with the overlay. I had a Strava Headmap online overlay. It's gone now. I tried to select it again, but it won't work. I also noticed an error message.
@Graf Geo
Augmented reality crash > thanks, fixed
@Tapio
white overlay > interesting, I've never noticed it. I've hopefully found a reason for this. Let me know if fix helped also on your side.

@Erelen

Anyway, Locus Map 4.35.0.3 if anyone is interested.

I have reported an error to the help desk. Should I post it here as well?
Thanks, Mark
- white overlay in vector maps on high zoom
- problem with small kml
- "No map selected" in overlay pannel after off-on
All of them is ok in 4.35.0.3! Thanks!
Black tracks on high zoom - now they has right coloring. Thanks! Right colors, but no arrows - this is a reasonable compromise.
- fix: main menu no longer visibly jumps when opening
The main menu now appears very smoothly (I don't remember if I noticed any issues before). But the Map-screeen content menu always appears jerkily (the problem appeared not in the current beta, but much, much earlier). Example: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ndobf2KU8QuDo8x49
@Mark_Again
you have used "Upload to support" option from the app? Then yes, "ID" of the report + short info about the problem (optional) is useful. Thanks.
@Erelen
"Map screen content" uses the old solution in the background. There has always been this problem, and I believe it will be improved over time, once we change how this panel is handled in the background.

Thank you, Mark
Hi Mark,
but this problem should already be solved in the recent app version. You still have this problem, and the "back" press returns to the main map screen instead of the "Search screen" with the active top-right menu?
Search/OtherPOIs causes error.
Pressing the back arrow twice brings back the search options. Perhaps this is normal.
Thank you, Mark

Confirmed, thx!
Quote from: Mark_Again on July 25, 2026, 22:07:24Search/OtherPOIs causes error.
What sort of error? For me, 'Search/Other POIs' opens the page with the search term input field just as normal.
The only thing that's been a bit of a nuisance recently is this:
I go to the global search. After clicking the hamburger menu in the top right-hand corner, the selection page with search locations, co-apps, etc. opens a bit jerkily or with a flicker.
I guess that what I expect to see is the hamburger menu at the top right. If I click on the 0 the search closes. I can get back to the hamburger menu by clicking the back arrow twice. I'm probably confused.
Thanks, Mark
Geocaching tools
- search for geocaches
- select what you want and start search
- after download, geocaching tools window open ::) nothing more...
- with back button expected import window open
:P
I'm posting this here for now rather than on the helpdesk, as this version is still being further improved.
In version 4.35, a new dialogue box was introduced for selecting the folders from which geotagged media are displayed. The advantage of this is that you can now select any folder via the system file manager. However, it has the disadvantage – which I find very annoying – that I have to navigate through the folder structure every time to temporarily show or hide a specific folder. I have numerous folders whose images I sometimes only want to view briefly on the map so as not to overload it. Be it specific holidays, OSM documentation or whatever.
It would be nice if you could mark certain folders as favourites so that you could enable or disable them more quickly. These could appear on the first page of the folder structure; there's plenty of space there.
Alternatively, the 5–10 most recently selected folders could be displayed there, so that they can be selected or deselected more quickly.
Hi,
I hope everyone is alive in these hot days ...
New version has two big refactorings (Point screen & color picker), so I've also left the previous 4.35.0.3 in case of any serious problem.
Version 4.35.0.4 (8.8.2026)
- add: color picker now offers palettes, a shade grid and exact RGB, HSV or hex values, with opacity and recent colors
- chg: line style, dashboard and drawing screens now open the same color picker as the rest of the app
- chg: point detail screen redesigned to match the track screen, with better use of space on large displays
- chg: improved support for tablet layouts in geocache filter, device info and app updates dialogs
- fix: geocache logs list could crash in rare cases when a GPX import left multiple logs without an ID
- fix: map cursor stayed centered instead of the preset's shifted position when navigation started from a track opened above the map
- fix: guide line, distance and time to target could freeze during guidance and navigation while you kept moving
- fix: guidance to a point no longer announces arrival at the moment it starts, which also silenced the notification when you really arrived
- fix: a downloaded item could occasionally fail to open or import right after the download finished
- fix: (SILVER) live map no longer shows a repeating connection warning while panning the map without an internet connection (e.g. flight mode)
- fix: track detail no longer shows outdated elevation gain/loss after recalculating a track's elevation
- fix: (SILVER) crash when opening track detail from a dashboard after stopping recording
- fix: crash when searching for a place from the live tracking chat
- fix: hidden import dialog when importing geocaches over search
- chg: map overlay photo/video folder picker now reopens in the last folder you browsed
I think, for better awareness about the color, the color field itself could be bigger. It's a bit small. IMO in that screen there should be a clickable, seemless transitions color palette with a full width preview.
Quote from: Menion on August 08, 2026, 01:18:36I hope everyone is alive in these hot days ...
am flying over for 6 weeks Czechia cycling from our Tasmanian winter next week; Czechia seems to be a little cooler next week but it will be a temperature shock ;-)
Thanks for the new beta!
Track Details Panel: the recalculation of elevation data is now updated immediately (see helpdesk (https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/40982-wrong-information-after-correction-of-altitude)).
Unfortunately, this does not apply to changes to the elevation threshold (slider). Here, you still need to close and reopen the panel to see the change...
"map overlay photo/video folder picker now reopens in the last folder you browsed": better, but favourites would still be useful. If you need a completely different folder, you still have to laboriously work your way through everything.
Yet another bug with LoPoint photos:
When I view a LoPoint photo from the user's gallery (whether it's mine or another user's) and click on the LoPoint icon, the panel with the detailed view opens.
Unfortunately, the map preview isn't displayed correctly. Depending on the map selected, a white or light blue background appears. This is because the coordinates 0°/0° are always passed, which is in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
See screenshot.
Note: The error occurs in the current beta version 4.35.0.4; it worked normally in the previous version 4.35.0.3.
probably not this latest beta, but has anyone noticed/ can confirm, once MyLibrary folders are sorted manually, it is no longer possible to sort by the auto methods eg. Name | Distance | Created? I find when I select "Name" none of the folder change order; or Reverse sorting; only manual makes any difference.
The current beta version 4.35.0.4 is quite buggy:
The global search doesn't work. No matter what I search for – for example, a town – nothing happens. The search window closes and the map stays where it was.
It works in version 4.35.0.3.
4.35.0.4 a Ostatní POI.
Quote from: Graf Geo on August 10, 2026, 10:30:39The global search doesn't work. No matter what I search for – for example, a town – nothing happens.
Works for me.
Hmm, that's odd. It doesn't work for me. Global search.
The map is centred on Berlin. I search for Sylt. Nothing happens. The red marker with the arrow doesn't appear either.
When I manually move the map to Sylt, I can see that the Sylt icon is highlighted. So the place has been found, but the map doesn't jump to it.
It works with the other search options (offline addresses, the old Google search, etc.).
Reistalled beta ...03, global search works.
Installed again ...04, doesn't work...
Quote from: Graf Geo on August 10, 2026, 10:30:39The current beta version 4.35.0.4 is quite buggy: The global search doesn't work
"quite buggy" - quite a strong term; but yes, I have similar experience - search (places & addresses) > known-place > displayed in list > tap > no change of map. On the other hand, search for a category instead of known-place appears to work.
Hi guys,
thanks for the reports. Some of them are already fixed. But unfortunately, I have another small family vacation till the Sunday, and the current code isn't stable enough to publish here. So sorry, new bug-fix version next week, not this one.

Have a nice vacation.
Finally a new Beta version ... ::)
Locus Map 4.35.0.5
- fix: track line coloured by speed, slope, heart rate or power drew a straight connector across two adjacent breaks
- fix: (SILVER) Bosch e-bike (Smart System) now shows up when adding an e-bike sensor, and Locus starts the Bluetooth pairing itself instead of requiring it to be set up beforehand
- fix: (SILVER) track statistics showed the stride sensor's total count instead of the strides made during the track
- fix: ascent and descent totals came out short on tracks recorded with a pause, and on trimmed tracks
- fix: ascent and descent shown for a tapped trackpoint ignored recording pauses and left out the last section
- fix: uphill and downhill statistics came out short on tracks saved with "Save actual part"
- fix: elevation gain and length of a route part counted the gap across a recording pause
- fix: length and time of a merged track no longer count recording pauses from the original tracks
- fix: a recording pause right next to another one could disappear when a track was trimmed, split or merged
- fix: crash when picking a function for the main menu or the function panel
- chg: picker for overlapping map items is now a dialog with a Cancel button
- chg: OpenHikingMap online map removed on request of its owner
- chg: reworked internal system of one-time hints
- chg: split "Stop when standing still" settings into Navigation and Guidance
- chg: Mapillary now display more relevant and also panorama images
- fix: sorting overlapping map items by last update showed the oldest ones first
- fix: map controls and the item panel in the Locus Store map were partly hidden behind the navigation bar
- fix: area highlighted on the Locus Store map stayed visible after closing the item panel
- fix: navigation could get stuck on "Waiting for GPS" and the GPS icon stayed orange on devices with turned off Google Location Accuracy, even with a perfect satellite fix
- fix: track editor — the map stopped shifting for the bottom panel after the panel was hidden once
- fix: route planner inserted a new point between the wrong two route points
- fix: (SILVER) geocaching "Import displayed" did nothing when the live map used the built-in "All caches" or "All caches, but found" filter
- fix: synchronisation could skip items when a point or track was edited while the sync was running
- fix: invalid visible "pace" values in the Dashboard + more reliable format of values out of range
- fix: not working setup of the text size in Dashboard charts
Quote- fix: navigation could get stuck on "Waiting for GPS" and the GPS icon stayed orange on devices with turned off Google Location Accuracy, even with a perfect satellite fix
Nice. How does it work now? Without GLA?
In 4.35.0
Draw a route in route planner -> call guidance from within route planner -> 'guide reversely' is hidden in settings by default -> start guidance -> stop guidance -> track is gone.
Guide reversely is not a setting. Its an option and should not be hidden.
Track should stay in Route Planner as long as not deleted by the user.
Thanks for the new beta.
Fixed:LoPoint photos map preview is working again now. 🙂
Fixed: global search works fine again. 👍
Nit fixed: changes to the elevation threshold (slider). Here, you still need to close and reopen the panel to see the change.
I haven't tested any more than that yet.
