Hello
I just got a Hugerock X7 tablet and downloaded Locus Map for our moto adventures in Saudi Arabia. I am hoping for an easier time getting custom satellite maps into it compared to my previous struggles with Garmins with their limit on how many maps can be displayed at the same time.
My usual method of creating Garmin Custom maps from CalTopo works, and I am able to import and view them in Locus Map, but I am unable to save it. So every time I shut down the device and turn it back on, the custom maps dont appear and I have to import them again.
A second question is I tried to download satellite maps from Locus map's selection of maps available (Gold subscripton) for offline use but it keeps saying it does not cover Saudi Arabia. With online use the satellite images appear (crystal clear with very good resolution), but to download them for offline use seems to be a no go. Is there another alternative?
Any help on both would be great.
Thank you
Hello,
offline satellite maps in Locus Map are not available for download, not even in the Gold Premium. If you are able to create some custom KMZ? maps, you should use so-called "Map items (https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:items:management)" to keep them enabled and also for easier maintenance.
Thank you for that @Menion
