Dear experts,
Does anyone have experience with offline routing? By "offline" I mean completely without an internet connection or mobile network coverage – for example, deep in the mountains.
On my mobile device, routing works when I have internet access. But when I try to start routing completely offline (not just following a pre-saved track), the device simply shows an error saying there is no internet connection.
So my question is: Is Locus a genuine offline routing application, or does it only simulate offline use and actually require internet access?
For context, I also installed BRouter, but so far I haven't had any success.
Do you have Locus Map 4? Gold or Silver? Or Locus Map 3?
How I can find it out? There is a Information, switch to "Premium". What ever the meaning is.
>Is Locus a genuine offline routing application
yes - works 100% perfectly! although I support LM development via my gold subs. I don't think you need a paid version for offline routing to work
as a starting point see https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tracks:planning
Offline routing with internal router only works with Gold.

But with BRouter it works without Premium.
You need to select BRouter as your router in the settings. And you need to download the routing data in the BRouter app.
You have to keep these up-to-date over time. With Premium, this happens automatically.
