Need help to understand why offline lomaps are no longer showing roads on Locus Maps 4.
I've been using Locus Classic for years doing offroad motorcycle trips into places with no cellular reception and using offline Lomaps along with gpx tracks to navigate. I moved to Locus Maps 4 since classic is being discontinued and tried to download offline lomaps for my next trip in a week, but I'm finding that the new offline maps are much smaller in size and do not contain any roads? Now when pulling up offline maps on Locus Maps, no roads are visible. Am I doing something wrong or is this by design with the latest Locus maps and how do I ensure detailed road maps are available offline?
First screenhot is with current Locus Maps showing no roads. 2nd is size of recently downloaded NJ offline lomap. 3rd is size of older lomap on Locus Classic which is several hundred mb larger, but works as expected offline. Thanks for the help.
Hi,
thank you for your message, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
This issue isn't related to Locus Map 4 itself, but rather to the latest map version 2025.08.24, which unfortunately contains a critical error. We're actively working on a fix.
In the meantime, please delete the downloaded map, open the Locus Store, and download the previous version 2025.06.16, which is currently set as the default until the corrected version is released.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Thanks,
Petr
