Title: Locus Maps on Watch - Connection Lost
Post by: JeffMoo on December 15, 2024, 17:41:02
I am a long time user of Locus Maps Pro.

The WearOS Locus Maps app always gives me the error message "Connection Lost" when I try the record function. Battery Saving is not on.

The watch is Samsung Watch 6 (latest OS version) and the phone is Samsung S24+ (Android 14).

Past threads about this didn't seem to have any closure so is this still an open bug?

Hello JeffMoo,
sorry for a long time without a response.

We are not currently aware of any problem with the app>watch connection. Usually (almost always), the key is to really exclude all possible battery optimizations on the phone and watch side and not just for the Locus apps, but also for the "Android wear" app that is "man in the middle". Hope this helps.

I habe seen a similar problems,  no in every case, but in aprox. 20%: When starting LM on the watch, I get an information, watch ist not connected, no map appears. Then, after using another watch app, that connects to the phone, the connection reapears well in LM. It, s a workaround without any hint to the reason.
