Title: questions about mapping
Post by: osramini on September 15, 2024, 08:55:39
Hello,
I have been using LocusMaps on my S23Ultra for some time and I have some questions about the imported maps,
I have recovered .img maps that I used on my Garmin, but some do not have a good rendering,
on my Garmin the fields and pastures appeared in green, but on Locus, these various areas appear in red, it is not very pretty, and railways or the name of this track appears, it is offset, are there any modifications to be made to change this color format?

Similarly, how can I update the maps now that I have taken out a subscription?
how to know if a new map version is available
and finally, is it possible to record data from a heart rate belt with Locus, I bought a new bluetooth one, since my S23U only supports this format, I would like to be able to record data from this belt when I go hiking...

thank you for your feedback,

Hello,
Garmin maps are not well supported and to be true, I plan to remove this bad support completely. I'm aware that maps in Garmin IMG format are still used and may contain some interesting maps, but the complexity of correct implementation on Android is big and it simply is not worth it (at least for us), sorry.

If I see correctly, Michal answered the rest on our help desk.
