Title: Set custom camera app
Post by: Will C on April 24, 2024, 14:30:28
Hi I'd like to set an android custom camera app for locus to use, as per expert settings>tweaks. How do I use it? I have copied what I think is the package name from the bottom of the app info in android settings, and pasted that com.intermedia,hd.camera.pro into the input in locus, restarted the app and still have the default camera.
Would be obliged for suggestions.

Hi Will,

you have a typo in package name. You should use `com.intermedia.hd.camera.pro`. On my side it works correctly.

Hi @balloni55,

the option is visible only on Android 13+, because on lower versions the system is properly asking which camera app you want to use for capturing photo or recording video. On Android 13+, system automatically opens your system camera app so you are not able to choose third-party camera apps.

@Marek Scholtz
thanks for your explanation, now it is clear why I did not find this setting

The only extra option I'd like for photos taken in-app, is to be able to choose the storage folder.
