Title: Tasker Plugin returns Altitude 0.0
Post by: Tapio on July 02, 2023, 15:02:04
Guys, would you please check? My Tasker plugin returns 0.0 as altitude. In the screenshot you can see the real elevation (based on Sonnys Lidar).

Maybe something got broken with most recent LM4 beta?

A simple task, flashes lat,lon and altitude:

Heh, ask @michaelbechtold , he will know why elevation is now not attached to the map screen center location.  ;). More info here (https://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=8450.msg71941#msg71941) and few posts around.

Hmm, so someone uses it. Anyway, your current GPS location does have altitude correctly, right?

All correct, just not the plugins altitude return. Ah that one, I'm the first victim of that performance improvement 😩

Hello, almost year old topic. Is this still a problem or do you have your solution for this? Because no other person complained for the last year, so I would like to stick with the current solution.

Hi
I only just noticed this item.
I have to plead guilty to using the plug-in "map_center_altitude"  but only in one tasker task and only when testing it - which clearly I haven't needed to do for some time (since originally writing it) as I had not noticed it now returns zero.
I suppose ideally it could be enabled only when needed - e.g only if GPS disabled, or perhaps an expert setting, however if that is too much effort then fine.

(BTW I do use map_center_lat and map_center_lon in several tasks and much more often)
