I have a Garmin Monterra and use maps on a micro sd card that I bought from Backroad Mapbooks. Since this is an Android device I was hoping that I could view these maps in the Locus app and not just the default Garmin map app. I use my GPS where there is no online connection so I must use maps that are already on my device....is this possible?

are you sure they don't? Try to put them into Locus/mapsVector .. it's not perfect, but ...
