Title: no valid GPS position / no satellites found on Android 4.4 device
Post by: spezl on January 07, 2014, 14:50:01
Hello,
I've bought Locus Pro around 3 years ago. Since I updated my S3 Mini to Carbon Rom 4.4.2. navigation, geocaching and track recording isn't possible anymore. Locus is unable to get a valid sat-fix, no satelites are visible. When I use GPS Checker or GPS Status I do not find such problems, I can get quick results. With the same version (2.18.0) of Locus Pro at the same device with AOKP 4.3.1 it works flawless! Can anybody help or has similar problems?

What could I do to help fixing the issue?

PS:
Runtime is set to  ART, ROM is Carbon Rom, see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2592378, Device GT-I 8190 without NFC, 8GB German model

edit: works with the testing version https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8015949/Locus%20%28dev%29/test_versions/2.18.0.2.apk! what's the difference? ;)

edit again: if found the "Privacy Guard" activated at the apps settings, removing this fixes the problem!

Sorry for trouble!

OMG,
wherever I read about strange problems recently, Privacy Guard is in the game.
Should be renamed to Problems Guaranteed.
