Hello,
I can't access the GC.COM api for downloading pocket queries any more.
(after a logout from gc.com and after update to the recent version).
If I go to ""Geocaching Live" on the main menu it opens a browser window to log in on gc.com.
After I log in successfully I am asked to allow access for Locus. Of course I do press "allow access" but then nothing happens. Locus shows a white screen and after some seconds it returns to the map.
If I go to "Geocaching live" again, this all starts from the beginning.
Access was succesfully allowed, as I always get the notification-mail from gc.com.
Restaring Locus ore rebooting the phone doesn't help.
Any idea to solve that problem?
Thanks!
Bernd
Hello Bernd,
what web browser are you using? There were known problem with some Chrome version, but I don't know if this is already fixed.
Hello menion,
no, I am using Firefox. I don't have Chrome on my smartphone.
edit
Ha, it IS a browser-Problem!
I just installed the Opera mini browser to be sure that it's not the browser that is causing these problems.
But when I logged in via Opera instead of Firefox it's all ok again.
Bernd
ah damn, so now firefox has problems? damn ...
Well, it's the built in browser that was preinstalled on my Phone.
The App has a globe logo, not the typical 4-colour Chrome logo.
I think this is firefox, but I am not 100% sure.
When I press "info" it says:
Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.6; de-de; U8655-1 Build/HuaweiU8655) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1
No idea, what this all means.
Maybe it's only my old Android Version 2.3.6.
oki, thank you for an information and glad you discover Opera. Opera usually never fail :). I'll anyway have to improve login system to not be dependable on web browser. It's not the first time, this problem occur
